i know this is old news but i recently read it and was.. heartbroken of how the ending ended.. so.. WHY DID NISHINO TSUKASA HAVE TO BE THE GIRL WITH MANAKA??!?!?!? WHY NOT TOUJO AYA?? please... someone give me a good reasonable reason to accept the way the ending ended..  WHY MANAKA, WHY COULDNT U PICK TOUJO!?!?!?!

ha yeah i felt he was fated to be with Toujo - even the astrology club believed so :-) what i can't understand is how manaka and toujo didn't keep in contact for 4 years...

...seriously they were fated together.... well it seems toujo was busy with college and manaka was busy in europe and.... africa..and manaka never had a cellphone and toujo also doesnt have one either.. so yeah..thats ur answer to ur question about no contact :] but still no one answered my main question....

Did you forget toujo had a cellphone with her when Manaka asked her if she ciuld show him her numner?

I completely agree
but ive seen tis thread too many times on too many forums and it always ends in a toujo bashing........
ive gotta give it credit tho on breaking the stereotype in shounen romances where you can always tell the heroine thatll "win" from the beginning

When i read this manga i knew after the part when they 1st started going out whitch is in the beginning of the manga that thats going to be the ending. Its just one of those mangas that you can kind of tell who the main character will pick without reading the whole thing. Nishimo was the 1st girl he went out with and also the one he liked 1st so that kind of gave away the ending for me. Ill admit i had some doughts at some parts of the manga but they only lasted for about 2 or 3 chapters.

thats not true.. it wasnt tsukasa who was the first girl he liked.. it was toujo but he didnt know it was realyl toujo that was the girl at the rooftop. so manaka got suspicous that it mgiht be tsukasa because she got her haircut and she wore strawberry panties.. soo yeah its all coincidence.. really if tsukasa never told him she wore strawberry panties.. sooner or later he would find out it was toujo who was at the rooftop...and would ask her out..

Hehe I was kind of devastated when I'd finished Ichigo 100%. I'm not sure why though, because Nishino was my favorite all along... but I got so sad for Toujo's sake that it brought me to tears.
I can't really think of any conclusion which would make me happier either so I guess the mangaka did "the right thing" after all, in my opinion.
An ending where Manaka somehow manages to get BOTH girls is simply not... well, no, that would be wrong. Yes, indeed. Far out, man. *trippy*

an ending with the loser having no one in the end would have sufficed. Actually it would have made my day. But what we were given seemed like it was an easy out.

yeah.. i think it would have been better if he chose none of them.. and got sum girl from his travels around the world u know? or.. just never gets any girl.. cause he used up all his luck in his high school days .. the point is.. we are all sad and depressed and pissed of how the way it ended..
i guess im here cause i wanna get this sad heartache ,when i think about ichigo 100%, out of my body T T lol
