O well. Sending sex pictures can't be any worse than smokin weed right?
It all depends on whether or not your dumb enough to get caught.

You know if they are trying to send a message to other teens by comvicting these ones, then it seems kind of pointless. I mean honestly, back when I was 15 I know I never bothered reading anything about current events, as a matter of fact I still don't do that. The only news I hear about is when I am lurking on here and see things about articles or someone tells me about it. I probably wouldn't of even heard about the Wal-mart trampling incident in New York on Black Friday if I didn't work at a Wal-mart myself.

But back on subject, I personally don't really see as to why the should be convicted in the first place, both parties are underage and it's not like it actually leaked out to a world wide scale. And who knows what type of girls they really are, so no need for people here to start judging by a single act. But I may not of read it completely right, but I didn't see anything saying that they sent it to a lot of guys. If they are going to convict people for having pictures of underage girls in their phone when they themselves are underage, then the court should also convict anyone underage who are "sleeping" together as pedophiles... And that would mean just about every teenager would be there.

Wow, that sucks for the teenagers. Like mentioned before, I've always found it odd that when idiots pass around naked pictures the police get involved, but when they actually have sex the parents ground them for a few weeks. This stuff happens pretty much everywhere, you hear so much of it in high school. But as I don't support people passing around naked pictures I can't say I pity them that much. Or at all.

Also, just wondering. Even if school officials confiscated the phone, is it legal for them to have looked through it. Isnt that invasion of privacy or something. I know a lot of our freedoms are completely ignored while we're in school but this too!!!??

As stupid as that is, I think they can. I remember one girl getting her phone taken away and the teachers looked through all of her texts and photos. It's horrible and an extreme invasion of privacy and it's one thing that I hate about schools. It should be illegal for them to do it...

As for the article, they both consented to it...so what's the problem? o_o

Because they're not of legal age.

..-_-
They police are busting these kids for that? When there are kids their age posting those same kind of pictures on myspace? *sighs*

hmmm....
What's the point of having LOCK on a phone and nobody uses it confused
They went overboard with charging them with crap that didn't offend anyone but the teacher and the principal and maybe other school board people. Lol and then those girls probably felt like tramps. That's enough of a punishment I would have to say. laugh

That was smart. so it's all consensual, but because they are all underage they are going to take it to court and what not. Fine. Whatever.
Don't they have better things to do?
And your phone. Why the phone? Well, I know why, but people should just learn to use common sense. It is so easy to lose your phone and then what? Your naked picture all over the internet. Smart.
Common sense people.
Actually, I remember reading on Cosmo that this is one of the things you can do with your cell phone to "excite your man" or something. It was an article of erotic things you can do with the stuff in your purse laugh
This whole story is dumb. Go prosecute a real pedophile.

That story was stupid, but it will happen more. Like when they all get older and have the pics somewhere - you are busted for pot smoking then 'oh those nudes are to young' type when computers taken away after and get charged for all that's on it. For artish small tit nudes to hentai. That all adds up more than a fine.

I remember kicking the ass of my little sister boyfriend for nearly getting caught by our parents both were way under the right age.

I really think that was over kill to call the cop's in.

still counts as a form of child pornography. cell phone owners are easier to track down than myspace owners. local police aren't great with internet tracking.

I've noticed that a lot of people are being really judgemental about the people involved. Calling them sluts, etc. But teenagers have the same, if not more sexual needs as everyone else. Its so stupid to think that people shouldn't be able to have sex under a certain age limit, after puberty i cant think of a person who DOESN'T want to have sex. If they want to its their choice. I mean putting nude pics, on an unprotected phone: not exactly the smartest idea. But its gonna happen cause it has to happen. If the age gap of the two pple was REALLY big, then ok but for this, idk, too much overreaction.

i just think the students are idiots doing shallow things, because they're overly conscious about unimportant matters like looks. and that's what got them into a stupid mess like this. just a bunch of unconfident immature kids.

it pisses me off to see people my age making fools of themselves like this, which is why we are looked down upon as a group by many teachers and adults.
stuff like this happens at my school too and a lot of us don't involve ourselves with that stuff, but when it gets out to the public it gives everyone a bad reputation.

Sure it was idiotic and shallow but if being idiotic and shallow was enough to get someone in jail we'd all be in ALOT of trouble.

Also, it really shouldn't bother you if teachers and adults look down upon everyone because of the stupidity of a few. That's more indicative of their hypocrisy and their shallowness, not yours or even the kids who committed the "crime".

I'm not picking on you, it's just that alot of the teachers at my old HS were like that too and it always pissed me off. I wonder if the administration and the police know just how stupid they are being. No one was hurt in the incident, everything was strictly consensual just immature kids doing immature things and they decide to ruin their lives by labeling them as sexual offenders. That shit stays on people's records and follows them their entire lives.
