I was such a huge fan of this game, and really can't wait to see it to... but knowing blizzard, we'd have to wait at least 3 years, that is if they don't outright cancel it...
That's what's keeping me from really enjoying the news as much as I would normally have...
The graphics looks okay-ish, not the best ever, but still quite good. But they'd be rather low for a game that is probably going to be released in 3 years... But Blizzard games never shined through graphics anyway, so I still have high hope for this game!

i have something for you people to think about. the games only in the alpha stage of completion. so that means that there maybe many changes to the graphics and textures. and ultimatly make it feel more like the original

I went bats**t when I read about this yesterday, heck I even went out and bought the original battle chest again. I have no idea I much time I spent playing Starcraft online plus I've been waiting for them to annouce this for the past 7 years.

OHHH... for people who prefer windowed non stretched gaming (like me)

here

[http://www.bwprogrammers.com /modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=17] - Allows you to play StarCraft in a 640x480 window on your desktop rather than full screen. How it works : unzip the whole package somewhere and then create a shortcut (on your desktop or somewhere else) that will look like this : "PATH TO DxWnd.exe" "PATH TO starcraft.exe" "PATH TO Starcraft.dxw". Example (on my computer) : "C:/DL/Drivers et installs/Jeux/DxWnd/DxWnd.exe" "I:/Starcraft/starcraft.exe" "C:/DL/Drivers et installs/Jeux/DxWnd/Starcraft.dxw"

Basically it says extract the download, run Dxwnd, run (open starcraft directory) than wallah. Perfect 640x480...

Gamespot's preview of SCII

So it appears SCII was in development since 2003. I've been saying it would have a 2008 release date and I might just be right... Check out the preview.

I think i'm going to be forever zerg again in starcarft 2 like what i did with starcraft 1. but all i can say is.."That marine looks freaking cool!"
