The latest issue of Windows 100%, a monthly Japanese PC magazine, ran an article on the various methods of acquiring manga raws from forums, websites, and blogs.

Photocopier that Can Translate Manga? According to Gizmodo, Fuji Xerox has developed a new photocopier that can scan an English document and then print a copy of it in Japanese or Korean. The photocopier can also work the other way around, translating from Japanese tp English...a new tool for scanlators?
SnoopyCool Returns The official site of SnoopyCool has been updated with a counter, which suggests that something will happen 40 days from now...according to this post, the group's site will be completely relaunched on October 31st.

Koukoku no Shugosha Ends: Koukoku no Shugosha (Imperial Guards) by Daisuke Sato (author) and Yu Ito (artist) is ending in the October issue of Ultra Jump (9/19).
Moetan and Shana Manga Preview: Dengeki Kuro Maoh recently launched its official site, which features previews of the new Moetan manga as well as the new Shakugan no SHANA manga.
Manga Doing Well in Hong Kong: According to JETRO (Japan External Trade Organization), manga is doing extremely well in the Hong Kong contents market, with around 60% - 70% comics publishing in Hong Kong being manga.

Tezuka Manga to be Digitized: Starting this month, Tezuka Productions will start releasing digitized version of Osamu Tezuka's manga.
Manga Artists Wins Case Against Manga Uploaders: A group of 11 manga artists, including well-known artists such as Tetsuya Chiba and Takehiko Inoue, has won a lawsuit against 2 Japanese men who uploaded and sitributed manga on the internet. The two uploaders will be paying 20.5 million yen for infringing the manga artists' copyright.
Kazuo Koike Establishes New Copyright Company: Lone Wolf and Cub author Kazuo Koike has established a new company called Kazuo Koike Gekiga Sonjuku Co., Ltd. to help protect the copyright of Japanese manga from not file-sharers, but big companies who uses manga in movies without permission.

Viz to "Collaborate" with Scanlation Group? According to this post, Viz has replied to a letter sent by Freelance-Manga regarding improvements on Viz's Inuyasha graphic novel. According to the response, one of Viz's supervising editor will be examining Freelance-Manga's IY scanlations to see if there is learn anything that will help improve Viz's handling of the manga.
NCIS/Lurk Conflict? (Updated): The blog Tiamat's Anime and Manga Reviews has written an article on groups that place restrictions on their releases, and mentions a recent conflict between Lurk and NCIS. However, according to NCIS, there was no conflict whatsoever between NCIS and Lurk (as opposed to what we previously reported)
