A big update today. Based on popular request, you can now check out our Authors section (click on "Authors" on the menu to the right). It's pretty sparse right now. It has a list of all the authors people have submitted in the series database. There are fields for users to add information if they choose. The most interesting parts of this new section are the "Most numerous genre" column, which shows you the works they release the most of, and you can click on a specific genre to see other authors who focus on that specific genre. Also, if you click on an author you can see a list of series that they have authored, and their genre. Hopefully this section will expand in the future and turn out to be as successful as our series database. If you notice, if you are a registered user you can edit information or add your own authors. If anyone would like to join Baka-Updates and help maintain the authors database on a more extended basis, send me an email at manick at baka-updates.com. If you have previously registered but have been denied an account, and would like to help out with the authors section, re-register, and we'll be sure to add you. We would be very appreciative of your help!

Check out our new poll. Pretty generic, but might be useful to get some feedback on it 🙂
A new review of the Elfen Lied manga by Dr EviL! Check it out!
Interesting news over at Mangasync. If you follow any of their projects, i.e., Glass Mask, bad news for you. Check it out.
They just keep flowing in! Another review by lilbabi1004 for your reading enjoyment!
I just wanted to remind everyone that we also have an irc channel, #baka-updates @ irc.irchighway.net, and that you can also report new releases using the "!report" command. You can also report group changes, series changes, or whatever you think we should know. We have many people using the online http submit form for releases, and your support has been great, but we would also like to remind you of the alternative in case you prefer it. Once again, thank you to the community for your gracious support. We couldn't do it without you! :-)
Cypher-Khan has struck again! Check out the excellent reviews here:
I've just added a very limited feature that has been requested over and over again. If you click on a genre while viewing a series, it will pop open a window with an option to "View other series with this genre". I am writing an expansion to this which will allow you to search by genre selection in the future--but for now this will have to work.
Special thanks to lilbabi1004 for this one. It is a review of Hana Kimi.
A new review of Berserk is up in the reviews section. Special thanks to J for submitting it.
Since we don't have a way to really display new additions to our reviews database, I'll announce them here for now. We have a new review, "Togari" by Cypher-Khan.
