Tsuji started out with Kamishabi and made his manga debut in 1956 with "Maou no Me" (魔王の目) in Yakyuu Shounen.
He had a string of hits throughout the 60's and 70's, of which the best known is the classic wrestler manga Tiger Mask, written by Kajiwara Ikki.
Participated in the foundation of Tatsunoko Production.
NAKAZAWA Keiji was once his assistant.
MOCHIZUKI Mikiya was his friend.
He died in 1997.
