He mainly writes novels, but has also done scripts for video games, lyrics for songs, and a few illustrations. (Fun fact -- he wrote the beginning and ending themes for Kamisama Kazoku the anime!) His greatest inspiration is Haruki Murakami, and he enjoys techno music.
