A fan of Tezuka Osamu especially Tetsuwan Atom since he was in junior high school.
After graduated from high school he was working at Shonen Gahosha’s sales department for two months.
Joined Tezuka Production in 1970, as Tezuka's manga assistant and anime production staff. Tomino Yoshiyuki taught him how to draw storyboards when he was a staff on anime production of Umi no Triton and Fushigi na Melmo.
The logo of Comic Bombom was designed by him.
