Kai made her debut in 1976 with "Anasutashia no sutekina Otonari" (Anastasia's wonderful neighbor) in Viva Princess. She was the sister of Hatsu Akiko and a friend of Hagio Moto and Sato Shio.
Kai died in the dawn of the December 12, 1980 at age 26 due to stomach cancer.
