Ilse Dallmayr, writing as Ilsa Mayr, has been an avid reader since she was seven. Loving books, she became a school librarian where she pushed books to reluctant as well as to eager readers. During one summer vacation she started a novel, finished it, and placed it into a box where it will remain. It was a good learning experience. She joined writing groups, entered writing contests and eventually one of her romances was published. She branched out and wrote romantic suspense and mysteries as well. When she is not writing or reading, she works in her garden in summer and tries to get to aerobic classes several times a week. She is married, has two grown children, and several cats.
