A former assistant of TANEMURA Arina, Yui Kikuta made her debut for Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazines in 2002 with "In the Moonlight Teresa" in the June 1 issue of "The Hana to Yume" under the pen-name KyaKya Asano. Kimiyo Asano is Yui Kikuta's real name.
She was part of the "Strawberry Lunch" doujinshi circle along with MINASE Ai, under her former pen-name, Kyakya Asano.
Re-debuted in Comic ZERO-SUM under the Name, Yui Kikuta, which she continues to use.
