Satoru Ishihara is currently living in her hometown of metropolitan Tokyo. She's a motorcycle racing enthusiast, and enjoys building scale models of motorcycles during her free time.

Her stories and art-style are noted for being 'tougher' than those of most BL manga. Because they contain very little of the femininity and romanticism that generally characterizes the yaoi/shounen-ai medium, her manga often appeal only to a niche audience. She has also illustrated a large number of BL novels.
