She decided to pursue a career in anime industry after seeing an issue of Animage and the cover is drawn by YASUHIKO Yoshikazu.
In January 1983 she joined Kaname Production and met INOMATA Mutsumi and Studio Ghibli’s KANADA Yoshinori.
Since 2000 she retired as an animator and only draws manga.
OOBARI Masami is her ex-husband.
