Koizumi Tomohiro is the author of many volumes focusing on the comical failures of male adolescent sexual desire. His drawing is appropriate to the theme: stiff bodies moving in robotic jerks and given over to awkward facial expressions and emotional outbursts. Kizumi has been active as a manga author since 1992, when he received the Chiba Tetsuya Grand Prize for his "But, y'know" (Demone)", published in Young Magazine. His book, Youth Golden Bat, was made into a film in 2006.
