He was working as assistant to AOKI Tetsuo, SHIMAMOTO Kazuhiko, TERASAWA Daisuke and KUBONOUCHI Eisaku before his debut.
Made his debut in 1988. In 1990 he started Hameln no Violin Hiki and became one of the main pillars of early Monthly Shounen Gangan.
SASAKI Shounen, MIZOBUCHI Makoto and KINOSHITA Junichi are his former assistants.
