He made his debut by publishing a manga in Shonen Sunday in 1993.
From 1998 to 2000, he drew a manga,風の伝承者(Kaze no densyo Sya, Wind of combat) that lasts 10 volumes.
In April 2001, he replaces Mato, who had problems at hand after an illness, to draw Pokémon, the great adventure, along with Hidenori Kusaka, screenwriter. Although Mato has healed since, Satoshi Yamamoto has retained his role in this manga Pokémon.
