When he was a kid he read CHIBA Tetsuya’s Harris no Kaze and aspired to become a manga artist.

At the age of 18, he was doing a monthly serialization in "Magazine SPECIAL", and was also a regular assistant to mangaka who is doing weekly serialization. He was the assistant to HIRUTA Tatsuya on Kotaro Makaritoru!, SHIGENO Shuichi on Bari Bari Densetsu, ITOU Minoru on Ogami Matsugorou and MAFUNE Kazuo on Super Doctor K.

SODA Masahito, SAKI Kaori and NINOMIYA Yuuji were assistants in Hajime no Ippo. MIURA Kentaro was his assistant in Kazuya Now.
