Since there aren't that many releases reported in the last few days, we decided to add a few things that we hope to be welcome additions to the site.

For this week only, we're going to allow reporting of all previous releases. Why? This will help build our releases database, and this will also allow the new manga fans that haven't been following manga in the past to find out about your previous works.

We are also going to open up the site a bit more by allowing all manga fans to report any releases for any particular groups. We are going to monitor how this turns out and make a decision about whether to continue this service next week.

To recap, as long as you are a manga fan and are following manga of any groups at all, you can now sign up for an account with us. Just put "manga fan of x, y groups" as your reason for signing up. Also, the reporting of previous releases is only for this week unless we specify otherwise.

We would like to remind users that we have a backup channel to report your releases (via !report) at #baka-updates@irc.rizon.net. This will continue to be a backup channel until such time as we find that Aniverse will not return. Thank you.

The site is growing at a very good pace, but we still need everyone's help if we're going to make this site as popular as our anime counterpart, so please help spread the news about us to every, especially to manga groups. Some manga groups are still uninformed about this service. We hope that you guys can help us bridge the gap.

On another note, our reviews section is now open to everyone. You can now write a review without signing up for an account. The reviews can be manga or anime related as we are planning to merge the two review sections in the future. This is a good communication tool for sharing your thoughts with us and everyone that reads it. We hope you guys will make good use of it.

We have just added a public-submittable reviews system. This means that anyone can add a review for a series. Just click on the 'Reviews' section, fill out the form and submit. We'll try to add it for you as soon as possible.

To add your group to our database so that people can search your releases, please login and fill out your group informations. All accounts are activated within an hour on these first few days so you can come back and add everything you need within an hour.

Please specify the manga scanlation group that you're with in the reason box of the form.

All ops of manga groups that signs up with us will get autovoice in our channel as well. Now you can enjoy some extra features on our bot that's only available to voiced users even if you're not a part of an anime group. Hope to see some of you in our channel enjoying this new service.

We have an rss feed setup for manga releases. It's located at [url]http://www.manga.baka-updates.com/rss.php[/url]. Please leave feedback in the channel as to whether this works for you or not. It uses the same system as the anime rss feed.

If you use the upper right search field to search, there are a few things of which you should be aware.

• Title will search the releases section for your query
• Group will search the group database for your query. This should clear up some of the confusion. Also, if you want to define your search further, you can use the 'AND' keyword.

We are accepting affilates for this site as well. If you are interested in our banner exchange program, please come to our mIRC channel and pm Platinum|Star or Manick. We are currently only accepting manga related sites, big or small. If you simply just want to link to us, please use our banner in the Affiliates page. We know that it is the same banner as the anime site so just change the link and point it to this site. Please only sign up for an account if you are a member of a scanlation group because you will gain access to updating your group's releases. If you are not part of any particular group, but want to help out B-U Manga, you can either 1) join Baka-Updates Manga or 2) talk to Platinum|Star about activating an account for you. We will also take sponsors by scanlation groups as well, that is if the scanlation group approves you to submit releases for them. It is not necessary for anyone else to sign up otherwise.
