Your email wont be passed to anybody else. At this point there are only a few manga titels that are offered to subscriber, but there are plans for future expantion.
This sounds like a worthwhile free service to everyone. Please remember to leave feedbacks for this while.

**We thought this submitted news might be worth while for some of the groups out there. Let us know if you think so too so that we can decide on whether to post this type of news in the future or not.
Thanks to everyone that has been actively taking part in this growing manga community. We would like to make one reminder to everyone that has been submitting groups to us. Please check over our groups database before trying to submit a group. It may exist already. Thanks.
We would appreciate it if everyone would please only sign up for an account under the SCANLATORS submenu only if you are going to help contribute back to the manga community. By registering for an account, we are expecting you to make use of the extra feature. That is we are expecting you to submit releases or groups to help contribute to the database, which in turn manga fans in general will benefit from.
If you are not up for the above, we ask you please not to sign up for an account because it will do you little good. It will only waste our webspace.
**One last notice about email authentication. Please email autheniticate your accounts right after your application. We are almost receiving this daily and we have no choice but to delete your account at that point.
Some users are still not email authenticating. We have no choice but to delete your accounts in those cases. If you are still confused about the steps to activating an account, they are 1. sign up for an account 2. email authenticate. The last step involves us approving the account, but this part is not in your control so don't worry about it.
A reminder that tomorow, August 7, will be the last day for posting previous releases. We would like to ask everyone to stop reporting old releases at that time so August 8 should not have any old releases. We may continue something like this in the future. You can all be assured that you will be notified well in advance if we do.
If you have looked through our groups database, you may have spotted some groups without a channel. Those are not mistakes. They are indeed groups without channels, but they still release their scanlations through their websites. Hope this clears things up.
Please post all the new features that you would like to see in the Anime site in the comment section of this post. We appreciate your feedbacks and will seriously consider all your inputs in our future upgrades/version of the site(s).
On another note, for everyone that has signed up for an account, please also check your email and confirm your registration or you will be deregistered. This is our protection aganist fraud accounts. If you have any concern regarding this or any general issues, please make use of our comment feature, which we hope will be a good replacement of the forum we had a long time ago. You guys probably can't even remember that we had a forum...lol.
The news submtting feature is not being used by anyone yet. We would like to encourage everyone to make use of it because it's good interaction for everyone. You can post just about anything manga related such as titles being licensed by what company and up coming anime/manga conventions.
Since there aren't that many releases reported in the last few days, we decided to add a few things that we hope to be welcome additions to the site.
For this week only, we're going to allow reporting of all previous releases. Why? This will help build our releases database, and this will also allow the new manga fans that haven't been following manga in the past to find out about your previous works.
We are also going to open up the site a bit more by allowing all manga fans to report any releases for any particular groups. We are going to monitor how this turns out and make a decision about whether to continue this service next week.
To recap, as long as you are a manga fan and are following manga of any groups at all, you can now sign up for an account with us. Just put "manga fan of x, y groups" as your reason for signing up. Also, the reporting of previous releases is only for this week unless we specify otherwise.
We would like to remind users that we have a backup channel to report your releases (via !report) at #baka-updates@irc.rizon.net. This will continue to be a backup channel until such time as we find that Aniverse will not return. Thank you.
P.S. If you know whats going on with aniverse, please leave a comment to this news entry if you can. Thanks again!
Update July 31st*: Aniverse is back up! You can access it by typing /server -m 66.207.164.29 in mirc!*
The site is growing at a very good pace, but we still need everyone's help if we're going to make this site as popular as our anime counterpart, so please help spread the news about us to every, especially to manga groups. Some manga groups are still uninformed about this service. We hope that you guys can help us bridge the gap.
On another note, our reviews section is now open to everyone. You can now write a review without signing up for an account. The reviews can be manga or anime related as we are planning to merge the two review sections in the future. This is a good communication tool for sharing your thoughts with us and everyone that reads it. We hope you guys will make good use of it.
