We had a request for and have added a "Gender Bender" genre. If you know of any series that fall under this category, please update the series information! Thanks!

New Genre
We finally added a new genre called "Josei"!
Here's our B-U description from the genre page:
Literally "Woman". Targets women 18-30. Female equivalent to seinen. Unlike shojo the romance is more realistic and less idealized. The storytelling is more explict and mature.
If you guys know of series that fit this genre, go change the info!
For a list of all supported genres, it's here: http://www.mangaupdates.com/genres.html
If you feel we should add another genre, post in the forums with your argument and we'll look into it.

Another new review!
Today we have a manga review thanks to Kaioh!
Check it out: Hajime no Ippo
Also, just a note that I've altered the registration page. It was a bit outdated and encouraged people not to sign up. I've now changed it to encourage people to sign up! Sorry for the confusion!

New Manga Review!
We have a new review, submitted by an anonymous user. If the writer reads this, and would like to claim credit for your work, please just reg an account and message me! I'm not sure if this was an accident or not. This is another reason why we're going to move the review system to the users system shortly (so that users can claim and update their reviews).

New Forum System
Okay, well this is going to be a long one... Where to start. I had found that lots of users were confused by the comments system. They figured that they could post more than one comment, would post that comment, and find out the hard way that you could only post one. To help solve this problem, I decided to write a forum system that would cater to the individual needs of this site.
As such, every series in the database now has a forum. That's right. If you would like to visit the forum of a particular series, you can visit its info page, scroll down to "forum posts" and visit the forum. You can also access the forums by clicking on "Forums" under "Whats New!" on the menu to the right.
As this is a custom system, there are no doubt tons of bugs everywhere. If you find one, please either post it in the suggestions forum or private message me by clicking on "My Inbox" under the User CP in the menu to the right.
Update Forgot about a few other things. Every user now has a public profile that you can access from the members section of this site. You can also add a signature, avatar, or change your timezone (which should affect most of the site) from your profile in the User CP section.
Update 2 Here's the results of that poll I ran:
Question: Did you go to Otakon 2006?
Choices:
Yes - votes: 97 (5.8%)
No - votes: 1574 (94.2%)
There were 1671 total votes.
The poll ended: August 23rd 2006
So, I saw at least 100 of you guys there maybe!! Awesome. Well, I put a new poll up because I think it's a bit more relavent to current site happenings. Check it out!
Thank you for BU-Staff
