|Aiso Tsukashi||Perhaps this won't be the most original story you'll read, but the way the mangaka deals with it is an interesting one. We have a very sexually unhinibited uke and a former yakuza. This could easily have been a very stereotyped yaoi, but the mangaka made some clever choices, creating a realistic and likeable story. One of the things I've appreciated is that the protagonists act in a reasonable way. There's no unnecessary drama or angst and no rushed sex. On the contrary the pace of this manga...... View|

|Bokura no Hentai||This is a nicely-done series. Unfortunately though, I feel like its target audience is quite restricted. So let me start by saying who will enjoy this manga: if you like LGBT+ themes and/or (light) BL, then this is for you. If you don't... it's not like you can't enjoy this, but you will probably find it less engaging than the targeted readers.
Something Bokura no Hentai is very good at is treating serious themes in a serious way. Illness, gender dysphoria and sexual hassault are only some of...... View
|Cupid ni Rakurai||Nice art, realistic portrayal of homosexuality and gay sex, cute characters (with no clear uke/seme distinction) and story. Plot-wise it's an average highschool romance, there isn't much originality but it isn't really needed either. It's well done, realistic and heartwarming. Art is good.
I found the drama in the second volume unnecessary, but it wasn't that big of a thing and it didn't spoil my enjoyment of the series.

|Doukyuusei (NAKAMURA Asumiko)||In this lovely, pure and poetic manga Asumiko Nakamura perfectly depicts young love and its everyday special moments. Sweet without being cheesy and simple but definitely not boring, this manga truly is a little gem. The plot is exquisitely narrated, also thanks to a peculiar art, whose elegant lines reminded me of Art Nouveau. The main characters are likeable and well-constructed. I feel like anyone could enjoy this, not only romance or yaoi fans. If you like slice-of-life works and slow ro...... View|

|Kokoro o Korosu Houhou||The first thing you must know about this is that everybody's basically named the same: Haruka, Haruki, Hikaru, Hanabusa... for real? I mixed them up so much, fuck you author-san Q.Q you did this on purpose didn't you?!
Joking apart, this manga tackles some heavy themes like rape, death, suicide and pathological relationships really well. It takes the most controversial themes from BL, the themes BL is hated (and loved) for, and makes them feel real, showing how ugly they are and how they can d...... View

|Little Butterfly||When I first read this manga I was quite young and fell in love with it. Even now after so many years I still think it's good. Although nothing is marvelous per se, everything is well done, which makes for a very balanced manga. The art is lovely, the characters are likeable and the plot is simple but nice. There are sex scenes but not too many nor too rushed, and there also is a little angst without going over the top. This manga is kind of in between shoujo and yaoi, thus being perfect for ...... |Ore wa Warukunai||Are you fed up with banal yaoi manga (sex → problem → sex → problem solved & sex → happy ending)? Then you might have found the yaoi for you! I at least did. Ore wa warukunai is a funny, cheerful and pleasant manga. It deals with more than just two characters, although not so many that you won't remember them. They're all well developed and they got me carried away with their stories, their problems and their eccentric everyday lives. Their stories aren't narrated separately, but form...... View|
|Pornographer||Funny plot, nice characters and actually unexpected plot twists. Art was pretty as well, nothing exceptional, I tend to prefer other styles, but proportions and anatomy looked good and there were backgrounds. Not a masterpiece but still something that distinguishes itself from other BL and that I won't forget soon.|

|Tenki Yohou no Koibito||A nice manga, with trendy art, an enjoyable plot and pleasant characters. The first volume is beautiful and touching. The second is a bit cliché, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. This series was tagged as ongoing, but you can read the only two volumes available without missing anything. It's a bit sad that we don't have a sequel or another volume, but this series is perfect how it is! So go read it ♥ It's worth it!|

|Umibe no Étranger||I enjoyed this. It wasn't perfect, but it was one of the best BL I've read in a while. The author tried to create something new, and she definitely succeeded. I especially liked the characters openly identifying as gay and talking about acceptance in Japan. Sex was also handled in a realistic way. Now, as I've already stated not everything was perfect. Despite the manga trying to be realistic, there also were kind of unconvincing things. For example...
