New Poll - Spoilers
Our member drunkguy suggested this one. We've had a fairly similar poll before, but this one's slightly different, so I decided to choose it. If you're interested in an interesting study on how people react to spoilers: http://arstechnica.com/science/news/2011/08/spoilers-dont-spoil-anything.ars

You can discuss this poll on our forums here:
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=28323

You can submit poll ideas here (and try to keep them manga/anime-related):
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results
Question: Do you read manga titles that aren't directed to your demographic?
Choices:
Yes, I read a lot of shounen/seinen and I'm female - votes: 2459 (16.9%)
Yes, I read a lot of shoujo/josei and I'm a male - votes: 994 (6.9%)
No, I sticking to manga directed towards me - votes: 2176 (15%)
I read all sorts of demographics without preference - votes: 8881 (61.2%)
There were 14510 total votes.
The poll ended: August 20th 2011

Most people tend to read anything they look (not necessarily targeted to them), but it seems more females are willing to read action than males reading romance

I like to read certain anime blogs before episodes are subbed. Sometimes. Not as often as I did before.

Oh wait. I should be talking about manga.

Uhhhh I rarely read manga spoilers... unless someone is including it in a thread post for an explanation that I decide to read about. But I don't really read manga series threads....

I guess.

I HATE spoilers. It's my sig. I'm beginning to hate previews, too. It's quite fun to follow something without knowing anything about it except that you're gonna like it. biggrin

I LOVE spoilers. It lessen the experience for some series, but I don't really care. As long as I know what's going on, I can wait out to read it when the Japanese publishers release it or when scanlators release it.

No, I hate spoilers. The only time I read spoilers is when no one is scanlating a favorite series of mine, and there are no translations or summaries for it with no chance of there being. And most people I've seen seem to disagree with that "study". Off the top of my head I've been spoiled three times for major plot points one book, two anime and they ruined the experience of watching it. I knew what was coming, there was no thrill or shock to it, and I saw the series completely differently knowing what was coming.

I'm too lazy to search for spoilers! Plus why search for spoilers, I got sick of the fake or real drama surrounding them.
