So through interviews and whatnot. Only a few then but following quality creators to their next work, even if just to try it, is a top priority for me.

Nope. Only time I follow an author is for a while after something happens to the story and I want to figure out what happened. Like with Tite Kubo and the ending of Bleach. Turns out there are so many stories of what "really" happened I don't really know. There's also stuff I read back in the day from interviews with Tite that are entirely missing from even the good video essays.

I can say the following... wait, this thread isn't about that.

Anyway, unless some controversy happens, either with the story (sudden change in the story that doesn't make sense, etc.) or IRL, I don't bother.

There are a few exceptional authors from whom i have read multiple manga... But yeah they have to be exceptional... For most i just like one series and the rest is meh... For most of mangad I don't even look up the author... It has to be a 10/10 manga first before i even consider looking up author... (Or at least 9.5/10 actually but still)

I follow Illustrators mostly, I only do authors if they speak at least one language I know.
