It was founded in 1966 as a subsidiary of Gakken, and was dissolved on July 1, 2004 , and absorbed into Gakken.

Published horror manga in a similar fashion to Hibari Shobo in the label "Lemon Comics". Later in august 1986 the short lived monthly magazine "Horror & Mystery Magazine: Maco" (恐怖&不思議マガジン 魔子 Maco) would be made, serializing works by popular authors of Lemon Comics.
