Plot/Story
The story revolves around Monkey D. Luffy and his crew. They are out on an adventure to find the mysterious One Piece, a treasure worth an incredible about of money, originally the Pirate King's, Gol D. Roger. As they sail to and across the Grand Line, they meet enemies, allies, and other people.

The story isn't bad, but I hate it how there are so many enemies and characters. I mean sure, they go to one island and find new enemies, but can't they have one main enemy or enemy organization. Another thing is that the story is too long.

Characters
The characters are detailed to a certain extent, especially the crew members. Each member has their history explained and their personalities are quite obvious. Each member also has their own ambition. The characters are definitely the best part of One Piece, although I find Luffy quite annoying, due to the fact that he almost never loses when he should.

Luffy-The captain of the crew. He has eaten the Gomu Gomu Fruit, granting him abilities to stretch to incredible extents. Luffy is an easy-going person. His dream is to be Pirate King.

Zoro-The first man. Zoro is a powerful swordsman who vows to one day defeat Mihawk, the most powerful swordsman in the world. He is always serious.

Nami-The thief. Nami absolutely adores money. Due to the fact that Sanji likes her, she takes advantage of him. Nami is greedy and very sly.

Sanji-The chef. Sanji is a great chef. He is in love with Robin and Nami, doing whatever he can to make them love him back. Sanji is usually serious, but becomes all lovey-dovey when doing things for Nami and Robin.

Usopp-The liar. Usopp often boasts about how he is the captain of a 8,000 man crew. This is used to cover-up his fear of danger. Usopp can, amazingly, be quite useful and honorable at times.

Chopper-The reindeer. Chopper has eaten the Human Human fruit, granting him the ability to stand and talk and transform into different forms or points. Chopper is very naive. Chopper is a skilled doctor, despiting being a reindeer.

Robin-The archaeologist. Robin is often calm and quiet. She loves to read. Robin has the abilities of the Hana Hana fruit, allowing her to create duplicates of different body parts.

Drawing Style

The drawing style doesn't appeal to me. Although there are a few exceptions, everyone's eyes look one way or another. The drawing isn't bad, but the faces are just too similar.

Enjoyment

One Piece is quite enjoyable. It can be mature at times, yet it can be childish. One Piece remains one of the most popular manga, so it is recommended. There are quite a bit of flaws, but like some shounen manga, this should be read for fun and enjoyment.

Overall

One Piece is good. There are a lot of better mangas out there, but as far as enjoyment goes, it is pretty good.
