Onizuka, a previous leader of a notorious bikegang that has turned to becoming a teacher. The manga depicts his trials, fun, and despair as the homeroom teacher of the most unruly group in the entire school.
Plot/Story
The area of plot has to be the most fragile part of this series. Yet, that doesn't mean that the story was bad. The only thing is that each arc felt a little episodial in thier relationship with each other. But at the end, everything ties together. And the end is definitly one of the best i've read in quite some time. truely a great story
Characters
Definetly the strongest aspect of the manga. The sheer number of the characters is only undermined by the manner in which the author was able of develop each and everyone. Except for maybe a couple, every character of the some 50+ have a crucial role well after their introduction.
Onizuka is one in a million. Even though he has lead a questionable life, he has the morals and judgement to direct his students to the proper goals and future.
The rest of supporting cast just wins your heart. Regardless of it the stupid things they are doing or the diobolical plots they assemble, each character remains important to the manga.
Drawing Style
A very realistic style.
Recently, in the manga world(as well as anime) the characters are becoming more and more artificial. But GTO succeeds in staying real to this world.
The other attractive aspect would be the numerous hilarious faces that Onizuka makes.
Enjoyment
5 out of 5
I usually read manga over a good period of time, allowing myself to understand the manga. However, for this manga, i finished all 200 chapters in little over 3 days. One of the most addicting mangas i seen in quite a while.
Overall
Have their been better mangas?

NO, just my favorite manga of all time and onizuka is my favorite after Sagara Souske from Full Metal Panic.

The way in which the author discloses the lives of these troubled students is profound and surprising, yet he reveals that they are just couping with loses and can be corrected to live a proper and happy life.

The manga had a profound imapact on me and i doubt that i will ever be able to forget it.

This is an amazing manga. It's a must read for anyone who is starting out in manga or for those who are seasoned. You can't go through your life without reading this manga.
-It freak'n hilarious ( At times my gut almost split open from laughing to much)
-The characters are loveable

  • It has a great morale in every arc.

I can't tell you more without giving details but that would only ruin the fun.
If you want to know which manga I like to judge me by I love reading: Hajime No Ippo, Berserk, Gantz, Bleach, Naruto, Samurai X, Chobitsu, Death Note, the list is endless ( I hope that was revelant).

I give this manga a perfect 10!!! Read it you'll agree.

In terms of characters and personalities, I would like to point out the quality of them.

The school girls have very distinctive personalities of their owns. Urumi, Anko, Miyabi... each has layers upon layers. Like onions [>__<]. my favourite is Urumi with her "tragic lonely genius" thingy, Miyabi's "foolish girl cause mistakes then covered it up" is not to my taste. Anko? well well... "tormentor fall in love with her victim" is a surprise all right

All in all this manga has the most rereadable quality of all the manga out there. Get in on your computer and dont delete it.

Seriously, I delete it 2 times, and then had to reget it to read. Quality like this is not easily found.

This review could really do with some polishing.

You give it a perfect score, yet still maintain that it has bad points throughout the review. You also have a few instances of bad grammar/spelling.

"Have their been better mangas?" Their ought probably have been there.

"NO, just my favorite manga of all time and onizuka is my favorite after Sagara Souske from Full Metal Panic." This sentence doesn't say that Onizuka scores second on your top list over characters, since you don't mention that you are talking about them anywhere.

"Enjoyment
5 out of 5" Is mentioned in the text, yet there is a rating at the top, so it just takes up room to have the rating there as well.

Some extra space in-between the different parts would have been nice as well, you used that extra space in the overall paragraphs, yet it is just as important between the parts of the review.
