Plot/ Story/ Characters
D-ASH is a brilliant Seinen, Romance, Sports, Drama "coming of age" manga about the lives of 4 elementary school kids and how they changed and developed as they grew up.

The story is full of Drama, Romance and real life issues that any of us could experience or have experienced but it focuses mostly on one particular character. This manga does a great at showing how 4 very different kids developed over the years as they each are affected by separate issues. After covering the main characters elementary lives, in the first chapter, it then skips to middle school, then high school and then adulthood. All these time-skips do feel somewhat excessive, in the initial volume, yet it does manage to cover all the necessary events.

Drawing Style
The artwork is really inconsistent, where at times it can look superb with detailed character designs, environments, shadings and then there are other times when it looks plain sloppy. This made it difficult to rate the artwork but I felt like giving it a generous score due to the amazing sprinting effects.

Overall/ Enjoyment
D-ASH is a very fast paced manga with so many time-skips in the first 2 Volumes that you'll have to constantly assess the changes in the characters lives and personalities. However this is a good thing about the manga with another being that there aren't any noticeable cliches making this feel somewhat refreshing, for a sports romance. One major problem is that after all the drama and romance, the final volume didn't seem as good as the previous ones, but maybe that was because the author was trying to round everything up, by focusing solely on Sports.

Well I'll still recommend this to anyone who's into a Sports, Romance, although this is a Seinen manga and not Shounen.
