Teacher & Student is the sister manga to “Older sister & Younger brother” and apart from some character & storyline crossovers; this Hentai, Romantic, Comedy is in a league of its own when compared to other h-manga of a similar nature.

Plot / Story
Yet again I’m compelled to review another work of Fuuga but there’s a reason why I’d review an h-manga with such an obvious name. Firstly Fuuga has a tendency to tell multiple stories in each manga but so far this is the only one with a single story that’s thoroughly developed all the way through. It’s about some high school kid named Nishimoto who’s living alone for reasons I’ve already forgotten (seriously don’t their parents ever give a damn about their kids). Anyways his teacher Mai is broke and needs a place to stay and who else to turn to than one of her own students. Now I know what some of you are thinking, “why one of her own students?” or “I could see this coming a mile away.” Don’t forget this is hentai, so don’t come into this expecting something original. Well once you get past this predictable intro, you’ll be able to enjoy this interesting take on a forbidden romance that doesn’t try to take itself too seriously.

Characters
Throughout these 8 chapters I could tell a lot of thought was put into developing this peculiar relationship, showing how the bond between them grew from dependency to complete faith in one another. The teacher & student in question were rather fleshed out themselves. Nishimoto’s somewhat dull but is a respectable guy and Mai’s just an entertaining, foxy kitten. Also there are a number of other noteworthy characters like the main 2 that cross over from “Older sister & Younger brother”.

Overall / Drawing Style / Enjoyment
Overall Teacher & Student is what could be called one of the best h-manga to deal with such a relationship, since in most other manga we get ridiculous situations like classroom orgies. Here however we have a subtle take on the concept, which focuses purely on the budding romance that obviously would come with its fair share of problems. Anyone who follows Fuuga’s work would know that he loves dealing with such dilemmas and that the man has improved over the years in most aspects. His artwork is one thing that’s improved, with a lot more detail put into the characters and their surroundings but his style remains the same. Even the crossovers have greatly improved because here you have to read the other manga in order to fully understand the situation between all the characters. So all in all you get a variety of goodness from this manga, including a good ending…

…a rare find in this genre. ^_^
