Plot/Story
An excellent storyline, one of the best Korean manhwa I've read over the past months. Very instructive and touching, imbued with a kind of eastern esoteric mysticism in the style of "coincidences in names, signs, numbers" and the like. Something like "Lonely wolf, lonely sheep", but about high school girls (in that manhwa there are already grown-up girls). In short, 2 little girls meet during their mommies' usual street chatter. They are amazed to learn that one, in the local Korean language, is called "Autumn" (Ga Eul), and the other - "Summer" (Yo Ryum). The names, by the way, are very suitable for the girls: Ga Yl is depressed and dull, and Yo Rym is cheerful and enthusiastic. And the story of a long-term tense friendship between two Korean girls began. At some point, Ga Eul began to notice that she was extremely infuriated that Yo Ryum began to have fun with some beautiful left girl who had been transferred to their class for some family reasons. And suddenly I realized that she was jealous. She is very jealous, and terribly angry when she sees this beauty next to her cute Yo Ryum. At some point, the girls quarreled over this, crying for several frames, and even stayed away from each other for a while. After several life-threatening adventures, they finally got to know themselves and their feelings for each other, and eventually confessed their mutual sympathy, moving from the status of "friendship" to the status of "love", as the Russian pop group Hi- Fi in one of his later songs. Along the way, they help a couple of gay workers at the school to choose a gift for each other (well, how could it be without it) ... At some point, a tearful brother Yo Rym appeared from nowhere, who, wishing Ga Eul not like a child, also expressed his sympathy for her and invited her to meet with him too, but the athlete, a beauty and a Korean woman sweetly refused him, inviting them to be only friends. And here the author of this manhwa broke me straight. Forgive me for my bloodlust, guys, but I didn't have enough heat in connection with this character. It was necessary to develop this kid's storyline to the level of a good thriller about sex maniacs. The author of this manhwa had to do this: brother Yo Ryum, having received a refusal, outwardly pretended to agree, but inside he wanted to somehow catch Ga Eul and, as they say, rape her. And so, this insidious and overexcited Korean - a pervert, luring her into a trap and, putting her to sleep or simply immobilizing her, began to rape her. Now, already his lustful eyes, in anticipation, contemplate the immobilized beautiful body of a black-browed girl with blue hair ... Now his dirty hands almost touched her, as they say, intimate girlish places ... Is it possible that no one will help the beautiful Ga Yl 😕 Is she really doomed to lose her maiden honor by the villainous hands of the boy 😕 !!! But no: the desperate Yo Ryum literally falls on her brother out of nowhere, dropping him to the ground and disorienting him with tear gas (or perfume - as an option). While he comes to himself, she frees her beloved from his vicious shackles. And together they tie the same rope (or what else? ..) the insidious brother Yo Rym and hand him over to the law enforcement agencies. And the guy will shine for a long time for this hard life in places that are not so distant ... But at some point he sincerely repent of his terrible bumpkin act, he will be pardoned and Ga Yl forgives him, but Yo Rym - no. And - oops, la - the author of this manhwa has another idea, for the new manhwa "Between summer, autumn and ..." let the end of the name come up by himself. And when the beautiful Ga Eul asks the brave Yo Rym: how did she find her in that wilderness, after all, Yo Rym's brother dragged her (Ga Eul) so far, so deep ... To which, proud of her act, Yo Ryum nobly declares, as in at the end of the second part of the North American feature film "The Way Home": "I was led by my nose and my heart." After all, both of them are athletes and more than once, it seems, they have been in the wild forest - they are probably well oriented on the terrain. (This is a cute entertainment for Soviet schoolchildren, when for some reason they run around the forest with a hefty antenna called "Fox Hunting", is there generally in Korea? ..) Well, something like that - something like that. No, guys, I really expected that this tearful little kid would behave like that, but how did the author of this manhwa disappoint me, how ...
Characters
Character Rating: Ha Eul
This character is clearly playing the role of a boy in this manhwa, and Yo Ryum is somehow initially considered her girlfriend. And because of this, all her problems, which she constantly rakes at the beginning of this melodramatic reading ... Yo Rym will like some boy, and Ga Eul forgets about the next exam, burning with a black fire of hatred. Yeo Ryum will like some girl, and Ga Eul lags behind the other marathon runners, leaving the competition and suffering from jealousy. She regards Yo Ryum as her property, which she does not want to share with anyone. It is clear that such a painful relationship with pathological attachment cannot last forever, and somehow Ga Yl has a terrible quarrel with Yo Rym and brings both girls to bitter sobs. But this is the beginning. Starting somewhere in the middle, when a chain of terrible love trials for Ha Il begins, she realizes that, no matter how trite it may sound, but "we are responsible for those whom we have tamed," as Antoine de Saint-Exupery wrote in his the book "The Little Prince". Or, for that matter, another, vulgar, statement from the times of Soviet Russia "who dresses a girl, she dances her." And now Ga Eul begins to save the gullible and awkward Yo Rym from pedophiles, from drowning and from everything in the world - even from a couple of gays who, in general, turned out to be normal men, and not some regular villains. And yes: she is really pretty enough: I like her noble face, her long blue hair, her modest, slightly vintage style of dress ...
Character Rating: Yo Ryum
A stupid and frivolous girl who behaves very loosely and arrogantly. She can be rude and rude with an evil face, and then say that she was joking, making a pretty face and making beautiful eyes. It seems that she found herself a great guy, athletic and handsome, but still looks at her friend lasciviously and possessively. He seems to be able to swim, but absurdly drowns, slipping on a damp tile by the side of the pool (and what kind of pool is this in this "Yuri Sports School"? For ski jumping and figured swimming, or what 😕 at school he was with a much shallower bottom). She trustingly enters the pedophile's lair, and if it were not for the brave and devoted Ka Yl and the local school guard, then this insidious school teacher would have raped the poor thing, but without any witnesses ... The most interesting thing is that at some point the role is unexpected change, and already Yo Rym begins to rage with jealousy when her tearful bro suddenly appears to her, like a lustful ghost from the past, and begins to harass Ga Eul. Oh, these lesbian relationships ... It's a marvelous, wonderful miracle - just like in that bearded anecdote with a fragment of the conversation of sanctimonious Russian old men: "What kind of young people are they: you can't tell a guy from a girl" ...
Drawing Style

As usual, Korea is disgraced by the picture quality in its manhwa. Straight lines are curved. Curved lines are discontinuous. But pleasant work with color, gradients and good drawing of all kinds of effects (Bohe, glare, stars - however, the stars are a little oblique and some kind of curves). The fill very, very rarely crawls out of the outlines of the characters. And what a naturalistic water here! For the water in this manhwa, I would generally like to express great respect to the author: the characters wanted to wipe the tears directly, ah-ah - they looked so realistic. The plants are still nicely traced, although, of course, quite sketchy. All sorts of backgrounds are also very amusing when the characters are in shock, fright, bewilderment or insanity. In my opinion, only Koreans have such ... laser beams from the ear, and all that. The Japanese have not seen this yet. Still not bad, but somehow blurred, deformation is drawn: broken glass with walls. But, again, just shameful graphics: as if a child was drawing ...

What's with all these characters 😕 Horror, horror. Ah Hyun's character is still pretty, lovingly made. Ha Eul is also nice. And Yo Rym is a real nightmare ... What is this monster from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video? She's so sweet to talk to ... AND SO SCARY TO SEE. Norma Jeane, risen from the grave and powdered. Oh, I was still afraid to look at her every time, especially when she was overwhelmed with strong emotions. Then she generally scared me ... But most of all I was pleased with the brown-haired teacher with a pigtail and in a tight miniskirt, whom (the teacher) Yo Rym constantly infuriates for some chapters with her behavior and remarks, driving her (the teacher) out of herself and encouraging to apply to her (Yo Rym) extreme measures .. Oh, how good she is ... Really, a beautiful woman, I looked at her. However, these monotonous monotonous irises without pupils strain directly, like some kind of horror movie. Ever since the days of "Elixir" I somehow dislike them, oh-oh. But, in general, the graphics of the characters in this manhwa are very delivering, although in many places instead of the characters themselves, some ghosts are visible. No, I do not mean these reduced copies of the characters in the background (it is clear that it is impossible to draw them more clearly with such a distance), but really what strange, chopped-off and monochrome creatures that supposedly depict a strong emotional feeling of the characters. Looking at them, I recall the replica of a character from the Soviet film "The Elusive Avengers": "the dead stand with braids - and silence." Well, and in general: the same character is different here in 10 different frames ... How is it in general? Where is the canon? Where is the unification? How is that? .. For professional animators, all the characters on a special leaflet, full-length and with all sizes, always hang in front of their eyes, and here ... And like that, almost everywhere, guys.
Enjoyment
A very instructive story about what is TRUE love that grew out of friendship. This manhwa ... like any good dramatic art, taught me not only to take love, but also to be ready to give my life for love. (Not necessarily in the sense of stopping the life of my body, but simply in the form of a waste of energy, money, time ...) A terrible and terrible, but life-affirming and instructive story about how important it is not only to take love from other people, but also to give love other people. Of course, this work is just words and pictures, which do not bind anyone to anything, but nevertheless they still make a strong impression and inspire good life attitudes. But, as always with Koreans, the enjoyment of letters was clouded by disgust with graphics. But more on that below. This manhwa is difficult enough to read, because unpleasant events occur repeatedly in it, but if you want to read a scary story of selfless love with a very happy ending, then this manhwa is for you (and for me too).
Overall
As usual, the Korean brothers delight with interesting, gripping storylines and terrifying, disgusting graphics. But, nevertheless, it is pleasant and interesting to hold in your hands, albeit on a tablet, this is reading and a sight. That's how it is, guys, that's how it is - real love. Paraphrasing the well-known Christian religious description of what love is, as an epilogue to this manhwa, I would note the following: love does not get jealous, love does not take revenge, love does not limit, love saves, love protects. Ga Eul and Yeo Ryum's relationship would not have become healthy and humane if they had not followed this well-known biblical truth, even though the whole plot takes place in Korea. As a result, having heroically overcome the chain of terrible events, they were able to prove with confidence that between summer and autumn there is still an inextricable connection, outlined by nature itself. If only because many fruit plants usually plant in the summer, and yield in the fall.
