Plot/Story
After reading the first few chapters, it is hard to understand into what type of story we are entering, as even the main character is thrown into this new world without knowing anything about it beforehand, just like us.
We get to discover the story alongside him and his newfound comarades-in-arms as well as his new ennemies.
I would say author knows what they are doing and they are doing it well.
The story is composed of a set of adventures that are distinct from each other but still revolve around the same frame, which is constantly growing through each passing adventure.
It is the perfect setup and pace for an action type manhua that needs to keep us untertained : we often need a new environnement, new people and new challenges if we want to stay interested and excited.
Characters
The main character isn't a perfect man and he knows that fact himself. He makes choices that aren't always optimal, to satisfy his own selfish desires.
To not always be looking for the for best option but to sometimes choose with your heart is something that can be quite hard to do nowadays.
There is a character that is a bit predictable if we consider their situation in the latest adventure. However, that is the only time I found the settings to be lacking, as there is a variety of characters put into a wide range of situations, something I always thought to be a good thing.
Drawing Style
The art is pretty damn good.
It's good in the style it's supposed to be good at : exciting and coherent action scenes ; great detail to drawings on closer up pannels, like expressions or haircuts for example, or good detail when showing certain battle angles ; nice background with some nice touches when it's the first focus point, etc...
I also feel the need to mention that the pacing with the drawings is immaculate, as this directly affects the overall art quality of comics in general. For example if the pacing is irregular with top notch art, the art will be at a maximum grade of 8/10 imo.
Enjoyment
I'm not giving this series a ten because it's still ungoing, so things could change but the feeling I have when reading this is definitely between eleven and twelve out of ten.
Overall
Well, a point to take note of is the relative absence of fan service in drawings or situations that take place.
What I mean by that is drawing just emphasing on the butt or bust for no apparent reason, for example drawing a woman from the back and showing her curves and all, just to appeal to readers, when it's clearly not the purpose of the series to do that, and when she could have been drawn doing something rather than just a snapshot of her behind/front at this random timing.
I can remember three of them on ±300 chapters, and it's just one or two pannels in the chapter, making it not overbearing to read.
The main character is also never engaging in this type of thirsty behavior, so random fanservice would make little sense. He can be flirty though, just like any other character can, and the sequences in those moments are usually always well done.
This is a point that contributes to the pleasant experience this story can be, which is usually not the case for other comics aiming to be an action/fast paced comic. A lot of those stories tend to use a heavier fanservice, that usually tarnishes the goal and aspirations of a story that wasn't created to revolve around this setting.
There is also a limitation to this type of comic : the repetitive change in adventure can steer off the main storyline and make the story lose its meaning. The main character can also become less sophisticated, as he tends to have the same set of reactions/expressions if the scenarios get repetitive, which is something that has yet to happen.
