Plot/Story
In the futuristic city of Jewde, Gun-slinging detective Daisuke Aurora and his gigantic andriod partner J enforce the law for the Special Service Department of City Security. However, when illegal smugglers, a power hungry mob, and a handful of blood-thirsty machines run rampant across your hometown, fighting crime is no where near a walk in the park.
Characters
I felt that the characters in this manga were very interesting and really made each chapter a joy to read, wether they were for comedic effect(Like litte fowl-mouthed Monica) or the plot's main conflict purposes (Like the pretey boy mob boss with an inferiority complex, Claire Leonelli). The way these characters interact with each is also another plus side. I find the relationship between Daisuke and his older brother Shun to be the most amusing of them all. I mean, it must suck to have your big bro be your boss as well!
Drawing Style
This Manga's art style brings the whole Bishoujo and Bishonen consept to a whole new level, and I mean that as a compliment (mostly). The character designs, fight sequences, and enviroments are drawn to a most enjoyable level of detail. My only complaint is that, in very few of the pages, the art seemed to dumb down a bit, making certain charcters expressions look somewhat emotionless.
Enjoyment
I was big fan of the anime series of Heat Guy J, and it's manga counterpart had me equally drawn in to it's story, but it was only a one-shot graphic novel so I found myself craving for a lot more.
Overall I enjoyed this manga just about as much as I did the anime...only the manga version didn't have crappy filler episodes.
