Plot/Story

This is a typical Pokemon plot that you'd see in the Pokemon movies and TV show. It stays true to the theme and has the came, somewhat cliche characters. The story is unique, mainly because of the new concept of Rangers. It doesn't focus on the bond between human and Pokemon that forms over time, but rather the ability to form a bond quickly and on placing trust in a cause, despite the fact that you'll be working with strangers.

Characters

The usual: a determined, pure-hearted, talented hero with his fellow Pokemon working for him and a group of evil, vile people that resemble Team Rocket with bad intentions. And to add to that, a lonely legendary Pokemon serving as the damsel in distress. They are exaggerated archetypes of what you would find in real life - a bit unrealistic. But this is a children's story.

Drawing Style

It's very clear, and easy to follow. The style is the same as the other Pokemon animes and mangas: cute, simple, determined-looking characters and critters that are easy on the eyes.

Enjoyment

It's entertaining, but otherwise has little significance. I personally did not enjoy this very much, but it was exciting enough for me to read the whole thing in one shot.

Overall

If you like Pokemon, then go ahead and read it. It's short and sweet, and deserves to be read. It's probably meant for a younger audience, let's say from 7-10 years old.
