Plot/Story
What is Love? How do people attain it? How far can love make a person go? have you ever wondered any of these if so then all of these question are answered by the Kurohime's fantasy world (well not exactly but still).The Author Created a universe where love is hard to attain and even more harder to maintain and shows it with an epic love story between a powerful magician and an ordinary boy.Where it starts of as a Typical Shounen way Boy meets a girl on his journey to find the Most Powerful Magical Gunner(whom he is in love with) who disappeared some time ago and finds out that the person he has been looking for was the girl.Later on the story evolves into a tragic yet beautiful love story that cannot be found in any other manga's of its genre.
Characters
In the First few volumes the character don't develop much and stays the same as
Zero - a Typical shounen manga protagonist with an ideal for justice
Himeko - the main character with an antagonist like behavior which thinks like everything belongs to her with no ideal for love whatsoever.
And as the story goes Himeko(aka Kurohime) develops into an love-able Female lead which shounen manga's don't really have.
as for Zero's development well you just have to read it find out.
Drawing Style
Kurohime's drawing style is original compared to other manga's of its genre.The Author really did his best to make the characters as attractive as possible and pulled it off.Evey character is beautiful eye catching and unique.And Also the Author did a great job on the clothes design of the characters. Having the Main character Change clothes for 4 times so far.which is pretty unique to the Shounen Manga Genre.
Overall/Enjoyment
Yes its an enjoyable manga.with a story line that can hook for hours and a character design that can make you stare.Kurohime is a diamond in the dirt of the whole Shounen manga stream.If your looking for an epic romantic story with a pinch of action or are you just want to something good(great) then this is the best choice.
There hasn't been anything like this before nor i doubt there will be a manga like this in the future.So far this is on of the greatest manga i have read so far and again i will Advice you to give this a try i am sure you will not regret it.
