Plot/Story
Noriko, a young high school girl is caught in an explosion and regains consciousness in an unknown world where she meets a strange, gorgeous, muscular, strong, man (excuse my exaggeration) named Izark. She discovers that she is what they call the 'Awakening' and her presence in this mysterious world is to awaken the Sky Demon that is Izark. WOOT With that out of the way...
The plot is intriguing and pulls you in, you can't help but want to know what would happen when a man who is to become a destructive Sky Demon ends up traveling with the one person whose presence alone is turning him into a Sky Demon, in hopes of changing what their destinies are meant to be. Admittedly, this series can be very exhausting because so many things happen, but in the end I think it was very satisfying.

Characters
Oh, how I love the characters in this manga. The two main characters, Noriko and Izark, are a wonderful pair to be stuck with for 14 volumes. They are both strong in their own way, whether physically or emotionally and the two just compliments each other. What Noriko lacks in strength, Izark makes up for it; what Izark lacks in emotionally, Noriko makes up for it with her kindness and compassion. If those characters weren't already enjoyable, all the side characters are quite likable as well and not everyone is as always as they seem. Every character seems so alive as their own individual, they don't feel like generic cutouts or there for the sake of convenience, and I think that is something the mangaka has done quite well for this manga.
The characters in this manga grow at a steady pace, our two main characters are both outsiders of the world (Izark being an outsider because he is the Sky Demon) and each character begins to develop an understanding how they belong and in this world, and what they are meant to be and how they wish to change it. They thrive to escape the cruel fate that they were cursed with and they refuse to give up until they find a solution. Sure they stumbled a few times along the way but those are just obstacles to strengthen their resolutions.

Drawing Style
HIKAWA Kyouko has changed her drawing style over her many years of drawing manga and she has officially shown off her solidified style in this manga. The art is very clean and simple, the characters all look good and have their own appearance. The background was drawn nicely and there is no overuse of tones. I very much enjoy her style. ^^

Enjoyment
OVER 9000!! The story, characters, art, they're all good. What I enjoyed the most about this manga was the romance, it was a bit on the slow slide but my goodness... It was adorable, I was squealing as I read it. I've already said a lot about the enjoyable things in the comments above. ^^;;
I've said this before, a lot of things happen in this manga and that might take some enjoyment out of it for some people, but that doesn't make this manga bad, this manga is still extremely good.

Overall
Overall, this is a great manga. It's award-winning and for a good reason, it goes beyond the barriers of what shoujo mangas are stereotyped to be now and that would a refreshing for any shoujo readers. The slow romance is not agonizing, it's page turning, it makes you want to read more to see how it plays out and the end result of the slow romance is oh-so-satisfying. The mangaka blended everything she wrote into this manga so nicely that I feel there's very little to criticize about. The manga wasn't wishy washy, it was solid the entire way through. I recommend you to read this whenever RIGHT NOW! GO! What are you still hanging around this review for? Enjoy and don't forget to support this mangaka~ And thanks for reading my review.

Know what's "make sense" in this manga?
The new world has a different language and Noriko didn't suddenly can speak their language.
a whole new would has a very little chance speak Japanese. (something that most fantasy mangaka which involve multiple world rarely care about. They do live in ideal world, 1 language for all. Kyoko Hikawa live in reality. Lol.)
it takes months for Noriko to learn it, made mistakes in the process, used the wrong words.
and when panic, she sure used her own language, which obviously noone but her understand it (excluding us the reader of course)
