tearjerker manga

Rec - Kimi ga Naita Hi
Sadly (lol), it's just 4 chapters, but it's a total tearjerker.
It made me cry and I rarely cry.
And it also left a deep impression, because I still recall it at the top of my head whenever a tearkerjer is mentioned.

No. What's the point?
Materialistic stuff has value on its own - memories I associate with them. Gifts I care about. Stuff I don't want/love/care about I can sell.
Why would I give that away and have hassle replacing my stuf...
Attack on Titan Ends on April 9 After 11 Years
(2 posts, 237 views) Posted: 19 days ago by Rouzmary in Shingeki no Kyojin
I love Shingeki no Kyojin, so on one hand, I'm sad it's gonna end, but on the other hand, I'm glad Isayama has a fixed finale in mind and does not intend to drag it endlessly without knowing how to end.

But April 9...that means we have only, like,...
New Poll - Cannibalism
(25 posts, 348 views) Posted: about 1 month ago by Rouzmary in News
There are way too many factors to consider, like others already mentioned - just how fresh the corpse is exactly? has it started to decompose? Just how far gone the starving has gone? Are you on an island or snowy mountain etc?

I, probably, wouldn...
New Poll - Trolley Problem

Ah, hate questions like these where you do not have the full information and the choices are no choices at all.

It would make the answer change depending on so many things - do you know the tied up people, how did they get tied up there, is there t...

New Poll - Older Relationships
(19 posts, 432 views) Posted: 3 months ago by Rouzmary in News
Like the others said - depends on the couple, but mainly so long as the younger one isn't newly around 20 or younger, while the older one is 30...then it's fine.
But if it's 20 & 30...or even younger...then that does seem off - the maturity betwee...
Nostalgic about manga...

I started reading manga when I was ~13 so now that I'm 27 (will turn 28 in autumn) it's been part of majority of my life, over half of it in fact. lolz, 15 year anniversary so to say XD

It does feel somewhat nostalgic.

I did used to read it more and...

Does reading manga help you improve your language?

It does help because there may be words or phrases I'm not familiar with and thus I'd look them up and enrich my vocabulary
2000s romance manga/anime ships

Romance anime/manga? Hmmmm that shortens the list, but still are lots from that time...few of them:
(also - might not be as popular and I don't really consider these pure romance either 'cuz for most of them romance wasn't the main thing), but:

When was the last time you sat down and read a book?
(545 posts, 63671 views) Posted: 9 months ago by Rouzmary in Chatter Box
Read one just yesterday.
I read a lot of books and while there are some times when I read none for weeks, there are other times when I devour a dozen in mere days.
According to my goodreads, I read about a 100 books a year, so...statistically, a bo...
PLEASE HELP Iā€™m looking for a manga I read a while ago!
(2 posts, 170 views) Posted: 11 months ago by Rouzmary in I'm Looking For...
To me it sounds a lot like Chuan Yue Xi Yuan 3000 Hou

I don't think it's Kanata Kara, it didn't have the cave & field trip part nor the spy or the girl acting all innocent while in truth being the opposite, but who knows, maybe that is the one you...
New Poll - Manga -> Novel
(11 posts, 340 views) Posted: 11 months ago by Rouzmary in News
If the story truly interests me and catches my attention, yes, I'd definitely read the novel if it's available because while manga is a pretty good way to showcase details, novel most likely has the details in even finer detail.

Hmmm...I think it was Naruto & Cardcaptor Sakura.

But I definitely remember that it was Wolf's Rain anime that began it all and got me to know of them.

I was 13yo and that was already 14 years ago so...2006?...heh and now I've been officially watchi...

Aha, Sanderson. Amazing books indeed šŸ˜€

Eh, I would've preferred if there was also the option of "both", because I do love both of 'em and each has their own uniqueness I like.
Oh well, I guess I'll pick soft because I've read/seen that one more t...

I also think that age doesn't matter. The "classics" -- be it manga, anime, novels or movies -- are works that are considered models and can speak to all generations. Now, it's true that some people might be put off by an u...

I had a feeling 90's and 2000's would be the winners...since they're also my fav šŸ˜€

I'm thinking that most users here are probably between 20-30 and in their 30's.

New Poll - Best Era
(24 posts, 682 views) Posted: about 1 year ago by Rouzmary in News
This was rather difficult for me to choose because I pretty much consider 90's, 2000's and early 2010's the best era.
All of my favorites are from those 3 decades. Well, more like 25 years. The last few, not so much.

I think 2010 could very well be ...

When I first started reading manga and watching anime & amv's when I was around 13 yo, I wouldn't say I was exactly shy about it, but neither did I speak out freely about my newfound hobby.

Sure, when somehow the topic did come up, most people saw ...
