Description
A bright-spirited young historical scholar, Iba, disappears while on a lone expedition to study the ancient Silk Road. A year later his girlfriend, Kyoko, sets out for the Silk Road in order to find clues that will help to unravel the mystery of Iba's disappearance.
When she arrives, she finds the charm she gave Iba for protection, and moments later she is sucked into a black vortex and loses consciousness. I couldn't find an English or Spanish translation, so I could only look through the raws. So, all I can say is that the art's great, and I'd be curious to actually read this one-shot!
Some of the twists are possible, although unlikely to say the least.... my one problem is the fact that

dude used kendo.... and fought minamoto with it..... do u know what that would be called in rl?.... its called dying... kendo is a f$%=ing sport, and most sword schools focused on 1on1 to begin with and then developed into multiple opponents. A well trained samurai would laugh his @#$ off if you started using kendo against him.

i must say it was entertaining...i enjoyed it...art wasn't that good compared to the berserk art but this was before berserk...as for the story it was entertaining as i said, no original ideas here though...the plot is pretty straightforward and follows a much used formula...nevertheless the genghis khan theme made it feel appealing and the fights were nice...it's worth a read

just one thing! so,the real genghis khan was replaced by the main protagonist so as the history won't be changed and he wont die before 1227. but come on i was expecting something better out of the dilemma i have to fight genghis khan to get the baby but i can't kill him. still the main protagonist is NOT genghis khan because he killed him! that's weird! continue his legacy yes, but genghis khan is indeed dead. His army can tell the difference! and the history books will find from writings of the era that genghis khan was dead 14 years before 1227, and just that his legacy went on until his follower died in 1227. it's stupid reclaiming himself genghis khan in the end! just that. didn't matter much and u could shallow that but still it was a mistake :) /end spoilers here

Many of you Berserk fans will recognize the protagonists in this story since the character designs appear in Berserk. Since the story is only 1 volume, the pacing is faster and the storyline tighter than Berserk's, and unlike many other short manga, this story doesn't suffer from its length. The story is complete and imaginative combining both fantasy and historical elements... and of course, the art is superb.
