Edit - Finally finished reading this and it was such a bittersweet ending. Her friend Mignot became the new madame of the house, Ivy as her second in command, and Collette freed due to the publicity she brought to the establishment. I'm happy Collette realized her own worth and made a name for herself as a novelist. Sakae wanted to use Collette (and her stories) as his muse to write his novel but ended up being a deadbeat novelist living on the streets. Leon proved to be trash till the very end. It was written as if he died after the debt collectors located him, however, reporters said they couldn't identify the face...and as much as it pains me to say this, seems like he showed up in the last panel with Collette once again, running towards him. I guess we'll never know for sure if it was a figment of her imagination because her narration over that scene said she could no longer tell what was real and what was made up. He might've even loved her in a very twisted way (he even said so himself, that Collette was second on his list of girls, but the second girl might be the one he loves most). What I hated most about him was him acknowledging he was stringing Collette along, using her. I guess we'll never find out if he survived or not.

I honestly found the narration to be very beautiful, it flowed really well through the panels, but I wish the readers had a more solid ending.

This is pretty interesting and I'm curious enough to keep reading it. The storyline is dark, the art is beautiful, but I HATE Leon..I despise him

And any other men who hit women!!!
I want to see how Colette and Sakae's relation will develop. Maybe he will save her from prostitution?
