So very rarely do I find a great manga, but this is by farr the greatest manga I have ever read. If you have yet to read this prepare for a wild trip of joy, sorrow, heartache, science fiction and humor! AKAMATSU weaves very touching story and will pull on the strings of your heart ever so deftly!

I don't give 10/10 very often. This is the only manga deserving!

AI Love You is probably the weakest of Ken's series. The premise is mostly a twist on Ah My Goddess with AIs. In fact, there are even direct cameos connections to Ah My Goddess' characters, with Saati originally being a straight rip of Belldandy (until v4, where she becomes a prototype of Naru). She has two sisters, an older mischievous one trying to set the two up, and a younger one as well. They also have magic powers which they use to help the MC or to cause antics(seeing the similarities?).

While the similarities and cliches make it difficult to give credit to Akamatsu, he still creates interesting scenarios. Up until the last three or so volumes he treats the circumstances pretty lightly, and mostly plays his world for laughs. It does have a few genuinely funny and touching moments, mostly after Cynthia appears, but ends on an obviously rushed note. If you like Akamatsu's later work, don't expect to be blown away if you read this. To a stranger of Akamatsu, start with Love Hina or Negima instead.

It was an okay manga, but I didn't particularly enjoy it. It may just be the author for me, but I wasn't as interested in this book as other people I know.
It's probably because most of the themes in this book revolve around love.
Overall, though, it's an okay story line with an interesting take on things (computer programs as love interests) and has pretty good artwork.

It's a good read if you're a fan of Ken Akamatsu's work. It's not as great as his other stuff, but for an early work it's not half bad. My only beef with this is that the ending came too abruptly, even for a slice of life.

I read love hina and msn from ken amatsu and video girl ai from katszra Masakazu aswell as many other harem/romance mangas before reading this, and from that perspective it just felt very plain compared to others.
What it did good however was to try and explain the technological sides of the AI girls.

I have to recommend video girl ai more, despite it having a few downward spikes. The premise for this is just so sad and depressing. That humanity can get like this... plus with stories of guys trying to marry virtual programs on DS games.

The character interactions are fine and the art is ok but creating a girl for yourself, and then having her want you is just a horrible way to start a love story. Not to mention how she's like a child(his child).

So while the premise is broken, the day to day or chapter to chapter stories are well told.

Been planning on picking this up for a while and I finally broke down and bought the entire set all at once, and I can't say I'm disappointed in the least!

There's really nothing new here in either the plot or the characters, but everything is done so well that I didn't mind the stereotypes one bit. I'm also kind of iffy on some of TokyoPops translations, but seeing on how there's almost no chance that any group would pick this up we have to deal with what we've got. Truthfully, it's not too bad overall, and the times that I'd really have to question aren't all that common.

Back to the good, what I really find interesting is watching how Akamatsu's characters evolve over the course of the series, and how you can pick out specific traits and foibles that he would later use in Love Hina. You can really see the genesis of much of what comes later here in A.I. Love You.

His artwork, as well, evolves over the course of the series, and while it starts off a little rough (I'm tempted to say "old-fashioned" here), by the final volume it's a nice clean style that's really quite pleasing to look at.

One thing I did enjoy about the TokyoPop version was that they left the small interview segments with the author. I found them very interesting, and they really help to give you a new perspective on the series, and what Akamatsu was trying to accomplish here.

So to sum it up, I really think fans of the genre won't be disappointed. It's a cute, if cookie-cutter story with few surprises, but which doesn't fail to entertain when all is said and done. It earns a solid 8 out of 10 from me.

Even though for some people this manga might not bring something new or original, I still find this manga more than worthy to be completely scanlated. (Too bad the project is cancelled :s)
I give this series an 8.5 overall. I would recommend it to whoever is up for the romance-comedy genre and I can only hope that someone will start scanlating this project again

A.I. Love You is another of your typical harem manga out in the book stores. The story often matches Ah My Goddess in that field, but instead of a cute goddess, you end up with an computer program gone haywire. I enjoy Ken Akamatsu's work, but this manga isn't all that great. Don't let the up to date artwork of the America release fool you. It's much better as a book just to read at the book store. Since the manga is really based soley on fanservices, it has it good points. I rather enjoy some of the comedy it presents, and it doesn't have too many repeats of them too. The other good points to this manga is that it presents you with some physics and science too. But besides these features of A.I Love You, it's your typical harem with a little twist, much like any other.
