Fujisawa Ayana was horribly bullied at school. At first, she tried to defend herself, but she soon learned to just stay quiet and wait for the pain to end. However, the bullying escalated one day, when someone pushed her into traffic. At the hospital, as she recovered, she suddenly realized that even if she didn't fight back, her classmates were probably going to eventually kill her.

From this realization, she soon decided that the only path left was for her to take revenge. Her new plan included the students who bullied her, those who stood aside and laughed, and those who did nothing to make it stop. She began gathering notes on her classmates, planning exactly what she could do to make each of their lives collapse. While some of the students really seemed to deserve their fate, her plan also included classmates that she used to count as close friends...

Dark Desert
Rating: 8.0 / 10.0

This story has to be one of the best dark, ambient stories that I've read in a while. This reminds to be a lot of Ayakashia's Secret, where revenge is the main plot of the story. The fact that this story is based on a modern, High School life might of put me off a little bit at the beginning, but soon I really got into the story and it became a masterpiece. The fact that she was only after her revenge to those who did her wrong even to the end rather than have a change of heart in the middle made it that much better. It was edgy the mystery heard you on your toes trying to figure out what was going to happen along with the horror of the gruesome murders as well as the punishment she dwells out as if she was passing out candy made it an "on the edge of your seat, trying to see what's going to happen next" kind of story. I recommend this to those who love a good dark story where does it have to be a hero at the end, or do you even have a hero in the stories to begin with! This is been one of the best horror and mystery stories that I read in a while! It would have been a full rating if there had been a little romance and it, but that's just my taste and opinion.

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I usually like shoujo or shounen types of manga but I LOVE THIS!! Its is very edgy so if you don't like dark stuff and should stay out of it, but the edginess works well with the revenge plot though.BUT the thing that still gets me is that wtf but if you look over that fact its really good and if you don't want to see anything too gruesome try reading till chapter 6 (that's when she gets crazy and starts murdering people). You can also try guess who tried to murder her(which brings the also mystery aspect)! I seriously don't like edgy anime though the only ones that i stuck though is Tokyo Ghoul and this one is another one going on my list the revenge plot may seem overrated and death-notish (just with better artstyle: that's what i think)It will not fail to please you However who knows still waiting for chapter 19 *hint hint but i really recommend this to people who read manga before because this might be too much for newcomers (btw made a account just to write a review)

btw this made me come to love edgy anime and manga

edit: i don't know why I said death-notish i don't think i watched death note at that time so sorry... i was a messed up kid...

It's not the best in the world...

Artwork: meh. Nothing to brag about. Although I do have to admit that it's poor line characteristics and even the sloppiness of the artwork gets emotion across, so that's entirely not a terrible thing. I guess in some way, it represents the depth of madness that Ayane is descending to.

Plot: it's okay. Though it's a very typical gory revenge plot, Ayane's execution for each revenge is extremely personal and the variation of her victims death is not a total bore. I honestly can't determine what I actually like about this manga, only that I just want to quickly find out how she ends each and every one of them...and that's basically it. This is not a build-character kind of manga, more of a de-build-character (lol, I dunno if that's even a word) kind of plot. I think it's kind of boring and also, I don't think it's really worth too much attention considering how long it takes for a chapter to come out. There are other better revenge stories out there; this one is literally just a straight-shot (personally, I think) and no memorable twist of any kind.

Please don't read this manga straight. Almost all the characters are rotten and the edge here can probably cut diamonds. Ayana has a really terrible circumstance, and I'm sure there are people who have dealt with even worse situations growing up. However, there is little reason for this world to be immersive. These people are 14-15 year olds, yet we have people who act like veteran yakuza, and have characters able to have perfect surveillance techniques for months. Although we are constantly reminded how terrible Ayana's abusers are, Ayana far exceeds them in her acts.

If you wish to read this manga, read it only to see how absurdly over-the-top the events are. I found myself laughing my ass off from the first chapter, and didn't stop until it was over. Maybe that makes me a terrible person (probably not as bad as Ayana) but it is quite enjoyable when seen through that lens.

Art! Story! Pacing! But, If you know me...I'm not a fan of revenge stories, now I when I read this, all I can see is ppl push er to become a lost cause, to become worse than the bullies, and most of those ppl are 15 year-old girls who are still young they're crazy. But yeah, the way I see it....we all know the ending....the MC, she is gonna die, the author has made a good bit of ppl who "deserved"(As most people would say) to die and even killed of ppl who didn't need to die. So if he were to let the MC get away with it...that would be just...stupid, the way the mc's going, she is bound to get found out. But yeah, great read if you like the crazy types.....

EDIT: The guy above me basically pointed it out perfectly, the manga is irony in it's basic form. Only difference is he's laughing at it, I'm pretty shocked at it.

First of all remember that you're reading something where a high school girl decided because, people are horrible to her they deserve the same treatment. While some people do others I'm not so certain. I'm only a few chapters in but, it's a pretty basic set up character wise. Nothing all that new. I think it's kind of an immature story. The revenge that is given isn't clever really it's very direct. I suppose the main character being a high school girl that does make sense but, it's also kind of boring.

The main character herself is sort of refreshing though. At least this time around rather than just accepting the bullying or getting outside help she has the inner strength to take matters in her own hands. That doesn't make it right though. I do understand this is just a manga but, it just doesn't sit right with me. I've read other stories about revenge and this one just feels kinda empty. She doesn't have development the first chapter is just like hey this girl was bullied and assaulted but, you don't really see any of that we're just going to go past it. I guess really, there's no build up.

As I didn't read the whole thing up to date it's possible that more is revealed in later chapters but, somehow I doubt it.

I think it's more so a story for a younger audience or someone that hasn't read anything similar. (Or watched for that matter).

Anyway, I'll pass on reading more than where I'm at with this one.

I've been reading it since chapter 1 was out, and the next chapter always takes a long time... so I forgot a lot of details.
And I read it again today in one go. It's freaking awesome when I find out many things connect and start to come to light. The revenge is always just as interesting as it is logical, and I love every single one of it. Most characters have their own stories and circumstances, and I'm positive I remember all their faces by now after the reread (just show how much I'm into this, there are 29 students in that class and only 12 chapters are out)
I strongly recommend this to ppl who love "everyone is a sinner" type of manga, since there's not a single kind soul in this one~

This is not an easy read. She is physically abused by the girls in her class and savagely raped by the boys. The adults around her don't seem to notice.
Her former friends are not pretty much ignoring her plight and the rest of class turn a blind eye to her treatment. Some do try to help her later on but its essentially just a temporary reprieve and by then she has experienced too much to turn back from her current course of action.

Quite frankly I'm fully behind her revenge plot. Although some of her tormentors seem to get off pretty lightly e.g. the good looking guy who pretended to care about her only to end up raping her. He gets off with just a small beating. Others get the ultimate punishment. like the 2 members of Ren's group.

This girl has been living in despair without anyone to support her for a while. She has also been raped by a number of her class mates. Any person would be psychologically imbalanced after this.

A good villainous protagonist

One of my favorite things ever is a good, villainous protagonist. Not villainous like they want to do something evil because it's fun or something boring, this girl, Ayana, wants to exact her revenge on the class that bullied her. She's evil, she has the smile and the creepy aura, and she's doing everything to screw all her classmates over, there are absolutely no happy moments, maybe a couple heartwarming moments but it's mainly her getting revenge on those who wronged her, no holding back.

There are a few things I don't like, her personality is a bit plain, nonetheless I love her for everything she's doing, and I hope she gets her revenge and dies with a smile on her face.

I got to admit, I was surprised in that plot-twist, but who cares~

I love a good revenge series like this. All those hypocritical pretentious a**holes getting their just deserts! Guhehehehe! If you love those kinds of series. I really recommend this.
