this is the best BL manga I've ever read so far ... (I read more than 200)
best choice if you like fluffy things more than smut things

i read in the epilogue that this is the author's first bl work xD and that she didn't intend the story to be bl at first lol

even though she might have been uncomfortable with the format at first im glad this came out how it did. it's so sweet and deliberate, a great first shounen ai work 🙂

edit: I JUST CAUGHT UP. IM CRYING OMG. this really is top notch work. the disability was utilized well and was a realistic barrier to the relationship as well as a conduit. i could really sympathize with kouhei's struggles and his desire to be heard and understood. brought me to tears, goddamnit. im glad this is being continued so i can cry more ;_;

edit 2: I can't believe I wrote the wrong name, forgive me Kouhei my child. ARE YOU HAPPY NOW LUCA? btw I still love this story to pieces, protect my boys

Needs to be longer!!! It says ongoing here, which I'm very happy about, but the latest chapter feels like an ending. IDK i hope there's more to come. There definitely wasn't enough lovey dovey for me! Great storyline and characters!

I really liked the premise of the story, and the friendship between them but I feel like the storyline was incredibly slow and maybe I missed a chapter but Maya seemed to come into the story abruptly. The slow pace almost seems boring to me at some points, but the last 3 chapters made it up. I really liked the ending and how they sorted out the communication. It's a likeable story that was sometimes bland.

It was so good and touching that i thought that it was too short!!
I liked the art and the main two,who were adorable. I wanted to see them more lovey dovey and all coz they were so cute together!! There was the side chara Maya who i didnt like, damn girl dun get in their way! xD
I really liked the realistic parts and that the mangaka showed how both felt and thought.

I just really wanted to see them kiss properly smile But the kiss isn't really all that important! What's important is the story definitely! (That doesn't mean I don't want to see a kiss tho) I also found the mangaka's note hilarious!!

and not just as a BL work, but as a story generally. i just finished the 2nd volume and i simply cant get over how perfect it was done. there are so many aspects that are depicted so well and it made me think a lot more than perhaps 10 other bl manga combined.

This is one of the better depictions of disability in manga. Deafness isn't romanticized, and it shows realistic barriers that people with hearing impairments face.

The romance also felt organic and realistic. The characters and interactions are well-crafted that the reader can easily understand why they fell in love with each other.

One of the best I've read in recent years!

First, the subject matter. I'm pretty wary about reading about disabilities in fiction because they often aren't handled well. But it's just done so well here, high points being
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Taichi's "It's not your fault you can't hear well! Why should you have to accommodate them?" and the role that the hearing disability plays both in terms of influencing Taichi's future career as well as how it's affected Kouhei.
I'm glad that there's more representation in BL, and am even happier that this story does it well.

Next, the art. I admit, throughout the first volume the faces looked kind of off but it was nothing too unbearable. The second volume is a pleasant surprise because the artwork has improved so much. The faces look a lot better, especially the eyes. It's nice to see the artist improving.

Lastly, the characters. I'm just repeating other comments here, but the lack of intense drama is refreshing and the feelings of both characters are beautifully developed.

Definitely one of the best BL I've read and reread (and I've read plenty). I'm definitely going to keep an eye on the artist's future works.

EDIT: IT'S OVER. I'M CRYING. Seriously, what a beautiful ending. I'm terribly sad to see this go.

I don't usually read shounen-ai mangas because I found them boring but this was surprised me in a good way because it is very realistic. And I really mean it, from the point of view of someone with the same disability than one of the characters (I'm gradually going deaf), this is very well written and I felt so identified that it is a bit heartbreaking.
