Definitely a unique story mostly told from the point of view of a child. His parents are a gay couple, but I don't think he is at all aware because his 'mom' wears a bird costume constantly. This is completely ignored by most everyone, no one has commented on it yet and the characters all treat it as normal. The stories revolve around their every day life, from planning birthday parties to grocery shopping, a collection of interconnected individual stories. Very sweet, with some bittersweet moments when the characters deal with sad bits of life. I really like it so far, it's very wholesome.
