I like this manga! So far the characters aren't on my pet peeve list at all. The main reason is that both of the protagonist don't beat around the bush when it comes to misunderstandings. They apologise and move on. Yes, the plot is not very creative with:
It is also typical that the boy is high spec, bishounen(?), and the girl is not, however I love how they're not perfect, but they try their hardest, especially the male lead. A great read so far, and not too annoying. I recommend to shoujo lovers that are sick of typical shoujos with annoying protagonist.

Edit: I stay true to my above statement, this manga did not disappoint at all. Both leads are seriously refreshing especially the male lead. He may be on the pushy side, but he respects her space. As for the female lead, she is also great and not annoying at all. Wish they at least did an extra chapter where I see the grown Nao, too bad 🙁
