the creator got bored and dropped it, which is pretty common woth webcomics. as such, none of the plot is actually resolved. a decent way to kill a few hours but ultimately disatisfying due to the lack of conclusion. my rating reflects what I think of what IS there, but I'd still recommend against reading this, since it ended before it ever got anywhere.

Ends as the Plot Thickens (Sorta)

Chongsa has a lot of good things going for it. Don't be fooled by the closest English equivalent to "chongsa," or the annoying male character who is later repeatedly belittled for his up tight attitude or other idiotic characters who likewise are painted in a bad light. The protagonist is anything but weak and proves to have the greatest emotional strength, but also strain. No one looks down on the protagonist after they engage in a serious fight (and the police thing is a purely beaurocratic thing). An observant reader will be able to figure out what had been going on and what was about to be disclosed before the unfortunate eternal hiatus which left Chongsa incomplete.

Ignore the title, its completely misleading.

Ignore the description, its completely misleading.

This is not a story about "musketeers" nor is it about the story, 'The Three Musketeers'. The story is about a girl, hiding her gender, trying to join the military for the sake of her family's honor at a time when the country's first female ruler is crowned.

The girl inevitably gets caught up in hijinks along the way but because women in this story are useless sacks of flesh good only for having babies; the girl is treated like a terrorist for killing bandits, is forced to flee from the local law enforcement when a nobleman attempts to murder her in cold blood, in broad daylight, in the middle of the street, and is nearly murdered, again, while running from the previous fight, for refusing to surrender to the local law enforcement who want her dead for defending herself against the nobleman.
