(Some minor spoilers ////// Note: because the story is currently up to 20 some chapters, at this point, my score is subject to change.)
The beginning (first volume) may start a little typical, but when you get to the second volume, things start to get a bit deeper. You get use to the silly/cute rabbits ears. You'll feel some 07-Ghost nostalgia here and there. You'll enjoy the Frau cameo and
This isn't just a story about a boy, who wants "revenge" against an alien, who killed his father. This is a story about a boy, who overcomes his grief and anger in order to become a Battle Rabbit. Just like Teito Klein, he too had to endure a rough/sad childhood. Soooo sad.... Unlike Teito though, Kaguya's character development starts a lot quicker. ^__^
As we progress throughout the story, we will learn more about the Battle Rabbits' history on Earth and the Rabbits, who currently live on the Moon. Meanwhile, more Battle Rabbits show up means more friends for Kaguya to be influenced by.
What's currently fan translated (only volume 1), as of this review's date, is just scratching the story's surface. This manga story is made by the 07-Ghost team. By volume 2 and beyond, you know this story isn't so simple. Especially, if you can read Japanese.
Thankfully, Battle Rabbits was picked up for localization, so, I hope more people (and some 07-Ghost fans) can join in on Kaguya's adventure with me. I'll be proudly buying the English Battle Rabbits' volumes. I feel like this story is going to satisfy me a bit more than 07-Ghost, because 07-Ghost did have its own small pacing issues near the end. Thus, I hope Battle Rabbits is paced better.
(Now, if only someone out there can localize Bokura no Kiseki, yet? It's finally made it to Zero-Sum so it should have more exposure. Then, I'll be Zero Comic-Sum happy with my all my fav Zero-Sum series officially in English. I don't have to go out of my way to keep buying the JP volumes.)

Spoilers for both "Battle Rabbits" and "07-Ghost" ~~~~
....his greeting of "Hey, Princess!". Geeze. This can definitely be a possible hint that Kaguya is Eve's reincarnation, eh? :D I like that Kaguya serves as the link between "07-Ghost" and "Battle Rabbits".
And a slightly bigger spoiler for the future for a minor(?) character...:
Even Ayanami shows up again? (Or, a guy who also has Ayanami's name and looks similar?) Seems, it's destiny!
//// End of spoilers.

Two main characters look pretty much alike Teito and Ouka in 07 ghost- previous work of these two authors. The story is very mainstream and typical, also kinda cliche. I find it stupid to see a cool handsome boy become a super rabbit man and have cute rabbit ears on the head. Can't believe the authors rushed to end 07 ghost to start this boring series.
