Feudal Japan: a girl is found among the bamboo with a slash wound on her back. Having no memories of her identity she is taken into a local brothel and put in charge of babysitting and housekeeping duties. One day, a frequent handsome customer, who also happens to be the head guard of the local castle, notices and wants her as his partner. Having none of that, the girl whacks him across his face, but he does not give up that easily.

Hmm...I'm thankful that I haven't read Tsuki no Shippo otherwise I'd miss out the fun intro. The blonde hanzou is so cheeky and handsome! Man, he makes me drool over him. Not to forget that Kaguya/Sara is a very strong character and she's not weak at all! I love her!! I'm glad that she didn't get to marry off with black hair Hanzou. xD A good read indeed!
If you read the sequel first then you must give this a try, and if you read this first, then read the sequel, you will enjoy it. I am not really a fan of playboys so I can't give this one a full score, you will know why if you read my comment on the sequel series. The art is good, the story is somewhat fast paced, I mean the girl falls in love with the guy a little too quickly but for 2 volumes its still a good read.
This continuation of the manga Tsuki no Shippo really shows the "behind the scenes" kind of thing. We met these two characters in tsuki ni shippo and with this manga, helped us to realize what happened between the 2 hanzou's and sara. very good

Compared to the sequel, Tail of the Moon, Tsuki no Toki was just a nice tidbit. I consider it a eh.. I like Tsuki no Shippo so much more, it just had more feeling to it in my mind.

actually i read it after reading Tsuki no shippo!!! i can still feel the adrenaline rush!!! WOOHOO!!! i read this in one go too ya know?!! YAY ME!!
i so overjoyed...the story is so beautiful!!! so this is the love story of kami no hanzou and sara- hime...they are some of the characters whom i liked!!! especially hanzou!! hes such a breathe of freshness to the atmosphere <fufufufu...lecher>...and sara was such a kick ass heroine...nobody will blame shimo no hanzou to fall for somebody as pretty and strong as her!!!

Waaa...I first read Natsu no Yume so after a while, I felt like Sara-sama should have ended up with Shimo no Hanzou. The art was very good! I like her art, really.
it's a cute story and heartwarming. definitely reccomend this
