Description
Featuring three friends, all women aged 29, who get together and socialize regularly and indulge in their common passion: drinking. Michiko Takase, the office lady heroine, prefers beer; Misono Miyauchi, a short-haired, muscular book store worker, likes sake; and Yuki Shinonome, the feminine housewife, drinks everything. The manga follows them as they visit hot springs, beer gardens, bars and more to sample different drinks, pair them with delicious side dishes, and chat about work, their family, how to keep warm while wearing skirts, etc.

A Jewel

Three office ladies, all repeatedly stated to be age 29, are friends, and often get together to eat out and, above all, drink.
They're each distinctive in appearance and behavior, and their interaction is realistically that of true friends. Their conversations and jokes are affectionate and funny. Two of them are unmarried, and the third is married, and really loves her husband. But she never pesters the other two to find a man, and in fact very little of the talk among the women is on the usual frequent subjects in joshi manga—men and how to get one. The jokes instead center on these three, on the various dishes they eat and drinks they have, and especially on how amazingly much Micchan likes to drink. The warmth of feeling among these three is the greatest attraction of this manga.
And as an unprecedented bonus, at the end of every chapter the scanlator has provided descriptions and pictures of just about everything they eat or drink in the chapter. Many dishes you've seen mentioned in other manga are pictured and their contents described. It's a free mini-course in Japanese dishes and liquors.
