I like the message of the story.

I have read and compleated this manga. So I will make my review short and sweet.

This is a mediocre manga. It's not bad, it's just not memorable.

The art is rather good, I often find that is the case with these "depression mangas". The message behind the story is also a good one. Suicide is bad, it causes those around you to suffer. However, that is about where the good points end.

The story/characters are where the manga takes a downturn. It is somewhat angsty and cliche. The fist and second MCs have this "I will always believe in the good" mentality that comes off as naive and cliche. The premise of the story where the character must atone for their sin of suicide and they will loop in purgatory forever if they don't is a good one. However, the author quickly throws away its established rule of "Looping forever to suffer" on what seems like a whim just to add some more tension to the story. And when the second MC appears, they completely throw away the 'Looping' mechanic.

The first MC is almost completely insufferable by the time the latter half of his arc happens. There are two bully characters that get off very easy, one of them we are even supposed to feel sorry for. She gets a "redemption arc" but I still don't feel that much pitty (if any at all) for her. This is all because of the first MC's "I will always believe in the good" mentality, which as I mentioned before, is very cliche and something straight out of a shonen manga.

This manga is good for a quick filler manga while you are in-between series and not much else.

The only positive thing I can say about the series is the art: it looks rather good, and the artist can bring real intensity to the characters faces.

However, everything else is poor, to put it lightly.

The most notable flaw is how poorly the characters are written. The villanous characters are written in such a cartoonishly yet past psychopathic way that it's impossible to take them seriously. I can understand the violent bullying, but having suspension of belief for how absolutely off the hinge and one-dimensional all the 'evil' characters are is nearly impossible.
The Shigami, who put the MC in purgatory the first place, seems like the farthest thing from a redeemer. None of her actions feel like they have weight (to support or to counter him) nor that she's ttrying to help him redeem himself. Instead, she's just as stupidly written as the evil characters - constantly rushing him, doubting him, verbally abusing him like the bullies - it's almost like she wants him to give up immediately. But then why does she start the loop if she wanted to redeem him? And then why does she stop it if she wanted to continue torturing him? She's overall an antagonist without intent or weight. Just someone to kick the poor MC through the chapters.
And then there's hhis father being wilfully ignorant, nevermind how irrational he was in his miniarc. And then also the Chekhov's Toilet with the kid and Zach.
This is only the especially egregious.

Then there's the whole concept of "redeeming yourself after suicide, after watching how it hurts others". All it does is leave a sour taste in my mouth. It's hard to tell if this is from the author's inexperience in writing, or from ignorance about suicide, but the subject is tread on like the mc is simply going through a phase, and he needs to "learn from his mistake" and recover from it; which is a glorification at best. The suicide seems to be purely a plot element, rather than anything to observe and try to understand.
Then there's the supernatural elements
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
especially when he got REVIVED in front of everyone
, the nonsensical plot structure, the gaping plot holes of unexplained events and the almost decent but ultimately disappointing ending, but it's late and I'm about to ko. I'll see if I remember to finish this up sometime later.

TD;LR: Horrible handling of a suicide scenario, all characters are unlikable (except the dog), story execution was poor, art is alright.

This manga gives me mixed feelings, for one part i despise bullying with all my heart and the fact that because of his suicide other people have to suffer (good people to boot) is very unfair.

But on the other hand we see how Makoto struggles (and grows quite a lot) to save these six people, and that made me like him and the manga. Which is why i recommend it, don't let its low rating discourage you and judge it for yourself.

Although only 8 chaps are not enough to rate this manga quality, i'm hoping for an interesting development which won't make me rage much (a bit it's acceptable).

Originally I thought the manga was really dark, has gore in it or the protagonist turns dark at the end. or some sort of revenge but i was wrong, the manga gives a really good example of what lifes like being bullied and it reminded me of what happened to me when i was young.

this is actually a story where the MC becomes the good guy at the end and start to learn the meaningful of life. alot of people might dropped this at around chapter 20 or so but it does gets better later on until the final chapter. Endless time travel and loops is also pretty interesting

was not disappointed at all even after reading the last chapter. was so worth it. too bad there are only 5 chapters available in english, hopefully someone picks this up soon in the future

When I started reading this manga what I was hoping for was bloodshed, carnage some sadistic turnover for the MC and here I am disappointed at what I read.I was hoping for retribution and what I got was nothing.Just plain disappointing and towards the end of case 1 they try to make the girl bully as a victim so I just dropped this.No retribution for the the bullies except some minor shunning by classmates and thats it.I personally love more of carnage kinda scenario with the MC going batshit crazy.I don't like saints so this one was not my cup of tea.

Read the raws up to ch 19.
There is a large group of boys that are really sadistic in the way they torment the MC. Seriously they have no problem maiming or killing people. The leader of the Bully's is a handsome popular student whom his peers and teachers take the side of, usually through his manipulation.
most of the souls the MC tries to save are people that have tried to help the MC.
As for the others: his father is taking out his frustrations on him and then there's his crush/gf of the bully. I dislike how they are trying to portray her as a victim now. Firstly she is secretly one of the instigators of the MC's bullying while she pretends to be nice to the MC so he doesn't commit suicide. Then she violently attacks the 2 girls that stand up for the MC. Now that her true nature is exposed to the rest of the class, she is being shunned by her peers including her bully bf. Now that she is on the receiving end, we are supposed to feel sorry for her WTF.
