It really is cute. Characters are nice and sweet, there's strong-willed, bright chef and innocent, good-hearted farmer, and I like that despite being pure they aren't stupid. The art is soft and pretty and plot is... well, it's nice and entertaining, with a bit of drama and spice that prevents the story from being flat and boring. And there are cats, also very cute.
It's not a deep story, but who cares? It's good to read a heart-warming vanilla romance from time to time. Read it if you need an eye candy.
This manga certainly grew on me by the end of it, but I was never completely impressed or truly engrossed in reading it at all. It's supposed to be innocent and romantic but the presentation is a bit too obvious and on-the-nose for my liking. I've seen titles with the same premise done better before. The chibis are definitely cute tho; those are the parts that I like.
It’s interesting to see the “hardworking Japanese” archetype in less seen careers in BL. I loved that the actual recipes for the featured food were given at the end of each chapter.
I haven’t read something so beautiful and heartwarming in such a long time. Honestly, it melts my heart so much. This is definitely something that I will come back to read if I ever have doubts about my future, feel sad, or troubled. This fills me with so much joy and happiness; I can’t contain it.
The art is simply perfection with detailed backgrounds and excellent facial expressions. The characters themselves have background stories and are shown in relation to each other and wider social relations, the work they do, and how it transforms and constitutes them as a person, which is quite a feat. Also, I have a soft side for food themed manga, especially the ones that have such a positive social message with them (don’t waste perfectly edible food just because it doesn’t ‘look’ right—this is an actual problem). Such positivity, humour done right, and social commentary in a single yaoi manga of such brief length is extremely rare and precious. All the more reason to love this.
