It the best yaoi ever, I wish someone could continue to scan the last chapters. I wanna know the ending, PLEASE and Thank You!! Also, thank you for scan this series, i enjoy rereading it so much!!!

Okay, now that I've calmed down a bit I can give a proper review. My previous one wasn't posted cause it mostly consisted of mindless squeeing. 
Anyway, you can't call yourself a true yaoi fan if you haven't read this amazing manga. It is not only sexy as hell, but has a very unique and sensitive plot which helps to both further the story, and develop the characters' relationships and personalities at the same time. Few yaoi stories can do that.
Kouta is the most adorable uke I've seen in a manga since Loveprize in Viewfinder (yay for tough ukes!!!). He gets cuter and cuter as the story goes along.. as if he weren't cute enough to start! And while Motoharu is a little bit unconventional, he is loving, kindhearted, totally in love with his uke, and of course, horny. I swear the two go together like peanut butter and jelly, maybe even better. In short, it's clear that they both stray away from the cookie-cutter brawny seme and weak uke types you usually get, which makes for good character depth.
And this may be a small detail, but you can also tell that Kano Shiuko put some research into astrological signs and their personalities. Kouta being a Taurus, Motoharu an Aries, Yuya a Cancer, etc., all seem to fit in well with their signs. You'll have to read into it a bit to notice, but it's there.
In short, a very well-thought out, funny, HOT, emotional, and at times touching story that can be read over and over again. I should know - I've read it 3 times over in the last 2 days! I'm so totally addicted. *-*

To be honest, I actually didn't like it when I first started. For the first chapter, things were moving too fast for my tastes and things felt pretty shallow. I was actually gonna drop it to be honest. But as the story progressed I found myself, for the most part, liking Motoharu's and Kouta's relationship. Like they still have their problems, mostly in the trust department, but they kind of get better at it. They're working towards it.
But holy shit I love Kouta's older sibling, who is described as being a guy who's crossdressing, but I honest to God can't see her as anything other than a trans woman (so apologize my pronoun usage).

When she found out that Yuya was sleeping with Kouta, she called Yuya out on it and it was glorious. "How dare you prey on a child" and "He's serious about you! If you can't give him a future get out of here!" Like holy shit mad respect.
So Punch Up is under Libre Shupan Publisher, which means Fantasyshrine won't be working on it anymore. D:

i like kano shiuko's work in general, because it's always been different from the bulk of BL. but this is probably my favourite at this point (end of v2), because it has it all -- not just the explicit, graphic, inventive, hot sex for which kano is maybe best known, but also a solid, realistic story about growing into relationships, regrets, insecurities, making one's peace with the past, learning to trust despite having been hurt. contrary to another reviewer i didn't find the humour jarring; i have probably completely gotten used to chibification, and it no longer throws me out of the story. PBB is good, but this is even more mature. there are no girly uke here, no flowery pseudo-gayness. i don't think i can think of anything this manga is missing; it's a shining beacon in a sea of BL mediocrity.
i guess since it is a libre publication, fantasyshrine is no longer scanlating this? i hope somebody more anonymous and therefore safer from C&D letters is going to pick it up, so people who don't read japanese can enjoy this excellent manga -- there's really just one more real chapter left, but that one is important.

I've only read up to Chapter 4 because I can't seem to find the other scanlations but I'm happy with the chapters that I've read so far. >_<
Let me start with the art. It's beautiful, clean and basically, the guys are extremely gorgeous so it satisfied a picky fan like me. The characters have debth and are memorable, something every manga should have but sadly, some lack. Motoharu's personality is surprisingly hilarious. I thought he was going to be some aloof seme but he turned out to be the wackier one of the relationship. Kouta, on the other hand, the uke, is the aloof one with his brute strength that I love seeing in Ukes.
I thought the plot was clique but that stuff doesn't matter in a manga when the art and the characters seem so well thought out and so beautifully drawn.
It's really a must read and definitely not a waste of time. Extremely recommended. ^_^

i never was a real fan of Kano Shiuko, but i just love Punch Up. it's kinda different from any manga she has created so far, and this is the best of her that i have ever read. this manga is one of the best manga i've ever read too! i'm really hooked up with this manga and i hope Kano Shiuko will make this manga longer, because this manga, will definitely have a boom in this world. FOR ALL FUJOSHI, THIS MANGA, IS A MUST-READ. it's really worth it and no regret.

Must read indeed. Shiuko managed to fleshed out the characters especially Kouta and I cried buckets how Maki-san shows his love to Kouta in volume 3 and 4. Can't wait for the release of volume 4 chapter 3.
Probably my favorite manga by Kano-sensei. I just love both of the characters. Motoharu is so hilarious and perverted, but still manages to be so charming and sweet. Kouta is an interesting character as well. You think he's going to be your typical tsundere uke, but he's really a lot more than that. He has a bit of a past, but he's not owned by it and doesn't let it control all his actions. One thing I do love about this is the relationship is very even. You can tell both sides care equally about one another. Neither one is giving everything to be with the other. They compliment each other very well. The side characters and story in general make this a great read. It's just so fun, but manages to be sexy and emotional at the same time.
This is truly a great series. its one of my first yaoi and i can say i read it like a thousand times its a must READ if you want charaters who are diffrent from the regular stupid in love, these have their own twist
