Now Felmenia stands before the same young man with her strongest magic, the white flame, being completely useless and asks who he is. It was already obvious to her that this man was far stronger than she was. To this he simply responds.

Decent LN

The main characters are what really make or break these types of LN.
I really like the main character in this one, he's powerful enough that he can beat most opponents but he's not godly levels of powerful nor is he likely to become so. But where he really shines is that he uses incredibly versatile magic whereas most people in the world he got summoned to stick to one or two types. My only gripe with him is that he's secretive even in cases where it doesn't make sense to be secretive. For example, he admits that he'll have to tell his friends about his power eventually, and there is no good reason why he can't tell them now since they'll be in danger either way (the danger he refers to comes from their world, not the summoned world). The only reason he doesn't do so is probably because the author thinks it would be more interesting if he kept it a secret. The author is right, but I wish there was a better in-story reasoning for it.
I'm slightly disappointed he didn't gain the magus girl as a follower/ harem member (yet), but I also like the fact that the author doesn't immediately push a harem onto him. Makes the writing feel a bit more honest and real, when it's not heavily pandering to those who like harems. His friend the hero has more of a harem than he does, which I thought was interesting.
Magic in general is done really well in this LN. Lots of detailed explanations, which may be a bother for some but was actually fascinating to me. It really got me immersed in the writing.
It sucks that translation is going slow, but I'm not really in a position to complain about it.

The story has potential, with the characters, but their is an excess of internal dialogue between some of the characters. Their is not much speaking between the characters, only thoughts. I like the MC, but he is narrating almost everything (Re:Monster does it well). I am skipping most of the side comments of the narration and it does not seem that I am missing much. Also the MC is contradictory, because he says that he like researching magic, but looks down on the magic in the world he was summoned and has not tried to research it, yet.
Good start but gets boring

it has a good intro, a truly amazing story. It shows the realism at the start where how an experience person would react when summoned into another world.
what i hate is the mc power, it's just spoiler power and it wasn't even subtle it was too specific. You can easily deduce what will happen in the future.
And for bakaleaf
he was not comparing this to Mushoku Tensei, he was only comparing the TRANSLATION of mushoku tensei saying that the translation was as good as mushoku tensei not the novel itself. I might be wrong here cause i see he updated his comment but i don't know that, so i'll keep this as is
The translation is dead now so i have no idea what happens in the future chapters if it will go up or still stagnant.
and as for me i ok with story about side characters. So a heads up for future readers if you're the type who don't give shit about side characters this ain't for you

Protagonist is likeable, has a goal and not a wuss. There is action, and there is The Thought Level. Fun read overall, but please, somebody pick this series back up - the last translator is MIA for a long time now.
(Up to chap 22) Excellent MC, awesome action and good potential Harem.

The MC is reminiscent of Arifuretac's MC, both are OP and were summoned to another world to help out, but refused to do so and simply want to return back tp Japan.
Not the typical "I'll save the world because I love humanity" MC, which is good.
The translation is excellent, about as good as Mushoku Tensei's quality of translation (no grammatical mistakes, good word choices for translating kanji etc. very impressive when many web novels have very bad machine translations).
The pace of character development is good, unrushed and done to make you absolutely love the MC and the love interests.
P.S: to the guy below me...out of 20 chapters only 1 was not about the MC...

The start of the story one can feel an excitement
A new journey
An Amazing MC
An Interesting plot
but..
All of a sudden it went to worse to trash
what happen to our amazing mc?
where did the amazing plot go?
all expectation got drop just like that
What cause the down fall?
I don't know of what others think but this is just my personal comment
It might be different to others but when I find something annoying I can't help but stop reading
This is one of those novel where you don't feel any excitement at all
A huge disappointment for me since I think the MC has very huge potential
Its sad that the story barely focus on the MC
I mean his the MC for crying out loud and yet after a few chapter he is already left and forgotten?
To the Guy above me PLEASE DON'T INSULT "Mushoku Tensei"
To compare that novel to this trash? seriously don't start insulting such great novel!
and like u said u just read chapter 20? lol start researching before claiming anything
you have yet to read the worse part..

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
The MC is a great apprentice magician in his world
when he and his 2 friends was summoned the new world was so weak for the mc
It means MC magic knowledge is far from advance but.. (that was it)
The MC op power became useless the more he hides it the more it is no longer mention.
What happen to the 1st potential romance candidate? the female court magician?
nothing nada just disappear after mc left the castle
What happen to his friends who was the summoned hero and was blessed by the goddess?
It turn into the dark side lol (star wars hahah)
Then the story start telling major spoiler in a way
it so called MC power that can see the future which is 100% accurate(lol major spoiler)
What's the point of having OP powers when you don't even use it
Take word master for example while his power is OP he doesn't completely hide or denies it.
And another annoying thing was why focus the story to side characters?
To waste chapters and words to side characters that was the last of the line
I really hated reading character which rarely appear and bears no significant rule on the whole thing.
